Samsung HW-Q900H Soundbar Drops to $997.99 at Amazon, Rear Speakers Not Included

Samsung's Q-Series HW-Q900H soundbar and its wireless subwoofer are listed at $997.99 at Amazon at the time of writing, down from a $1,497.99 list price. That is a $500.00 cut, or 33.38% off, and it still undercuts Samsung's own store by only $2.00.

Samsung sells the same set for $999.99 on its own site, against a $1,499.99 regular price. The Amazon listing is first-party, with the buy box naming Amazon.com as shipper and seller and stock marked In Stock.

The HW-Q900H is a 7.1.2-channel system built from two boxes. Samsung counts 17 speakers in the set, including a center channel plus up-firing, side-firing and front wide-firing drivers.

What the Samsung HW-Q900H actually includes

Samsung's own packaging diagram lists six items in the box. Those are the soundbar, the subwoofer, an HDMI 2.1 cable, a wall mount kit, a rubber foot, and a remote with batteries.

Rear speakers are not among them. Samsung's spec table states it twice, listing Wireless Subwoofer Included as Yes and Wireless Rear Speaker Included as No.

The bar is marked rear-surround ready with the SWA-9500S kit, which is a separate purchase. Samsung does not publish that kit's price on the HW-Q900H page. So the 7.1.2 count here comes from the bar and the sub alone.

Samsung HW-Q900H specifications

Samsung publishes a long spec table, then leaves out the figure buyers of this class usually hunt for. There is no total output power rating and no subwoofer driver diameter anywhere on it.

HDMI inputs, passthrough and app support

The bar carries two HDMI inputs and one HDMI output, and Samsung lists that output as eARC. An optical digital audio input and HDMI CEC sit alongside it.

Video passthrough is listed at 4K 120Hz with HDR10+. Dolby Vision passthrough and 8K passthrough are not listed, and neither is DTS:X.

The USB port handles firmware updates rather than music, which Samsung records as USB Music Playback: No. Wireless Dolby Atmos, Q-Symphony and SpaceFit Sound Pro are all listed as supported, so this is the room-filling version of the format rather than the headphone virtualization built into Windows 11.

Streaming support runs to Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi, AirPlay, Chromecast, Spotify Connect and Tidal Connect. Alexa is built in, and the set works with the SmartThings app.

How the discount compares across Samsung's 2026 Q-Series

Two siblings were live at Amazon at the same time. The 11.1.4-channel HW-Q990H, whose listing title does promise rear speakers, was $1,497.99, which is exactly what the Q900H claims as its list price.

The HW-Q800H was $697.99, a full $300.00 below the Q900H. Its percentage cut is the deeper one too, at 36.43% against 33.38%.

ModelPriceList priceSaving
Samsung HW-Q900H (7.1.2)$997.99$1,497.99$500.00, 33.38%
Samsung HW-Q990H (11.1.4, rear speakers included)$1,497.99$1,997.99$500.00, 25.03%
Samsung HW-Q800H$697.99$1,097.99$400.00, 36.43%

Samsung's bigger HW-Q990H has been discounted harder elsewhere in the past, so the gap between the two models is not fixed. Nothing beyond price, stock and seller was checked on either sibling, and the Q800H's channel count is not claimed here.

Amazon publishes no end date for the Q900H price, and neither store says how much stock is left. Samsung's own listing carries a price-valid field that expires a day after the time of writing, which is a schema value rather than a promise. Other soundbar discounts from Bose, JBL, LG and Samsung move on their own schedules, and prices at both stores can change without notice.
