Samsung has expanded its Galaxy Book6 lineup with a new 14 inch model priced from $799, giving buyers a more affordable Windows laptop at a time when PC prices continue to rise.
The new Galaxy Book6 is aimed at everyday work, school, browsing, media, and general productivity rather than demanding gaming or professional workloads. It offers Intel Core 3 and Core 5 processor options, up to 16GB of LPDDR5X memory, and as much as 1TB of PCIe storage.
Battery life is one of its strongest specifications. Samsung claims the laptop can run for up to 25 hours on a charge. It includes a 61.2Wh battery and supports 45W USB Type C charging. The company says a 30 minute charge can restore about 33 percent of the battery.

Galaxy Book6 Focuses on Everyday Battery Life and Portability
The 14 inch display uses a 1920 x 1200 LCD panel with a rated brightness of 350 nits. Samsung has also included an anti glare treatment, which should help reduce reflections when the laptop is used in brightly lit rooms.
At 1.35kg and 15.7mm thick, the Galaxy Book6 remains relatively portable for a conventional 14 inch Windows notebook.
Connectivity is also practical for everyday use. The laptop includes two USB Type C ports, one USB Type A connection, HDMI 1.4, and a combined headphone and microphone jack.
Wireless connectivity includes Wi Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.4.
The HDMI output supports displays at up to 4K resolution at 30Hz, giving you a straightforward way to connect an external monitor or television without carrying an additional adapter.
Intel NPU Does Not Meet Copilot Plus Requirements
The Galaxy Book6 includes an Intel NPU capable of up to 15 TOPS of AI performance.
That is below the hardware requirement needed for Microsoft's Copilot Plus PC classification, so this model does not receive the full set of Copilot Plus features available on more powerful AI focused PCs.
Samsung is still including its own Galaxy AI functions. These include tools related to images and note summarization, although the lower performance NPU means the system is positioned differently from premium AI laptops.
The laptop also offers additional features when paired with other Samsung Galaxy devices.
If you own a compatible Galaxy smartphone or tablet, you can access functions such as using a tablet as a second screen and controlling multiple Galaxy devices with the same keyboard and mouse.
Several Memory and Storage Configurations Are Available
Samsung is offering the Galaxy Book6 with either 8GB or 16GB of LPDDR5X memory.
Storage options begin at 256GB and increase to 512GB and 1TB.
The least expensive $799 configuration is expected to use the Intel Core 3 processor with the lower memory and storage options. Higher specification models should cost more.
Graphics are handled by integrated Intel hardware, so the Galaxy Book6 is not designed as a gaming laptop. It should instead be better suited to tasks such as document editing, web browsing, video streaming, communication apps, and school or office work.
The laptop also includes a 1080p camera, dual array microphones, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, and a standard clickpad.
One compromise is the keyboard, which does not include backlighting.
Samsung is offering the laptop in Gray and Violet Silver finishes.
The Galaxy Book6 is unlikely to compete with premium notebooks on raw performance, display technology, or advanced AI hardware. Its combination of a $799 starting price, useful port selection, relatively low weight, and claimed 25 hour battery life makes it a more practical option for buyers who mainly need a dependable everyday Windows laptop.
