Saints Row 2 finally gets its console DLC on PC through a new mod

Saints Row 2 players on PC can finally access the game’s long missing console DLC, thanks to a new mod from the team behind the Juiced Patch. The mod brings the single player parts of the original Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 DLC packs to the Windows version of the game, closing a gap that has existed since 2009.

When Saints Row 2 launched on PC, it arrived with more technical problems than the console versions and without the three DLC packs that had been released for Xbox 360 and PS3. Those packs were Ultor Exposed, Corporate Warfare, and the Unkut Pack. For years, PC players were left without the extra missions, vehicles, clothing, hairstyles, and customization options that console players had.

The mod restores the single player DLC missions and customization content

The new mod compiles the single player content from all three DLC packs into one package. The most important additions are the missions from Ultor Exposed and Corporate Warfare, which focus on taking down Ultor, the evil corporation connected to both Saints Row and Red Faction.

The Unkut Pack is also included, adding more than 60 customization options. That means PC players can finally access extra clothing, hairstyles, and other cosmetic items that were previously locked to the console releases.

DLC packWhat it added
Ultor ExposedNew missions, vehicles, customization content, and a new homie
Corporate WarfareMore missions tied to Ultor and additional content
Unkut PackMore than 60 customization options
PC mod statusSingle player content now playable on PC
Multiplayer DLC contentMay come later

The mod does not include all multiplayer content yet. The DLC packs originally added some multiplayer maps and other online extras, but the modding team says those may come later. For now, the focus is on the single player parts. The good news is that the restored missions can still be played in co op.

The mod also improves some issues from the original DLC. According to the team, it fixes oversights such as arc based unlocks being received instantly and problems with vehicles that were never addressed in the console versions.

There are a few requirements before installing it. Players need a clean save and Juiced Patch 9.0.0 or newer. Simple mods, such as radio station tweaks, should be fine, but larger overhauls like Gentlemen of the Row are not compatible. Older versions of the Juiced Patch also will not work.

The installation process is fairly simple. After installing the correct Juiced Patch version, players need to download the PC DLC package and place the DLC folder into the Saints Row 2 root folder.

This is a meaningful moment for Saints Row 2 on PC because the Windows version has always had a rough reputation. It was buggy, unstable, and missing content. The Juiced Patch has already fixed many of the port’s problems, and this new DLC restoration makes the PC version feel closer to complete.

Saints Row 2 remains one of the most loved entries in the series because of its open world chaos, customization, tone, and mission design. The missing DLC was one of the last major content gaps for PC players. Now, thanks to modders, a piece of the game that had been stuck on old consoles for more than 15 years is finally playable on PC.
