I’ve had a Samsung 120 gb (actually 111 gb) since 2012 an have had good experiences with it. It is a replacement as the first one stopped working after 3 months and Samsung replaced it with a refurbished (their policy btw) sent it in on a Tues and had it back at my door Thurs morning…extremely fast service. Have had no problems since an the Samsung Migration Software still shows it ‘Good’ when analyzing.
Very good product. The EVO Pro is warranted for five yrs.
Do you have to keep the Magician software running (starting with Windows) to benefit from the speed increase, or can you just use it to set up the Rapid mode “On” and then no longer start the Magician software except when you want to check its status?
You should be able to set the Rapid Mode On and then stop running the Magician software. However, do keep it installed to see how things are running from time to time or to check the status of your drive.

This SSD is very old and difficult to find even. You can buy a nicer 850 EVO for less than the one reviewed here. I’m confused as to why this is being tested as if it were new.
This SSD is not difficult to find at all. You can see the links in our review, for example. As for choosing the 850 EVO, that’s great, especially if you find it on offer, at a price that’s less than what you pay for the 750 EVO.
