I just got the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra and changed the video settings to record in 4k or 3840×2160. But when I combined more than one video clip in the video editor to create a “movie,” then the size changed to 1920×1080. So what does this mean? Is there a way to keep the higher resolution, or is there a different video editing app I could use besides the one on the phone that would keep the higher resolution on multiple clips combined? Thanks!

Hey, Shirley, I tried this as well, and the result was identical. Not only on the S22 Ultra but also on the S22 and S21 FE. It downsizes them to 1080p. So it’s a limitation of the editing software itself, not a phone-specific bug. There should be other programs for stitching videos together, the first that comes to mind is Filmora Go. Hope this helps!

I have had the s21 ultra since launch with my various tests over the last year or so i have found that 1080p is still good for most things and looks fantastic on my phone tablet and google photos it also saves my cloud storage day to day, If I see something spectacular to film like a waterfall or nice landscape or concert etc I up it to 4K, at night I’m undecided sometimes 4k looks good sometimes 1080P, tried 8k a few times with mixed results better on a tripod if you ask me with static shot
