PowerColor has listed its Radeon AI PRO R9600D, a workstation and AI focused graphics card based on AMD’s RDNA 4 architecture. The card uses a passive single slot design, making it suitable for dense workstation and server style systems where chassis airflow handles cooling.
The Radeon AI PRO R9600D is part of AMD’s newer Radeon AI PRO R9000 series, which also includes the R9700S. PowerColor’s model is listed as the AI PRO R9600D 32G P and comes with 32GB of GDDR6 memory.
That large memory capacity is the main appeal. While this is not a gaming card, 32GB of VRAM makes it useful for AI, workstation, visualization, compute, and professional workloads that need more memory than mainstream graphics cards usually provide.

The card’s single slot design is important. Many workstation and AI systems use multiple GPUs in one chassis, so a thinner card can make dense builds easier. PowerColor’s model measures 241.3mm by 111.2mm by 18.7mm, which keeps it within true single slot limits.
The passive cooling setup also makes sense for professional systems. Instead of using its own fan, the card depends on airflow from the case or server chassis. That is common in workstation and rack systems, but it also means the card is not meant for every normal desktop case.

One unusual detail is the display output setup. AMD says the Radeon AI PRO R9600D can support up to four display outputs depending on the partner design, but PowerColor’s version includes only one DisplayPort 2.1a connector. That may be enough for compute focused systems, but it is limited compared with typical workstation GPUs that offer three or four ports.
The card also uses a 12V 2x6 16 pin power connector despite having a 150W board power rating. AMD recommends a 450W minimum power supply for the Radeon AI PRO R9600D, and PowerColor follows the same guidance.
PowerColor has not shared pricing or retail availability yet. For now, the card appears aimed at professional buyers who want a compact RDNA 4 workstation GPU with high VRAM capacity and passive cooling.
The Radeon AI PRO R9600D may not attract normal gaming PC builders, but it could be useful for AI and workstation systems where memory, density, and efficiency matter more than flashy cooler designs or multiple display ports.
