Persona 4 Revival may be aiming for a February 2027 release, according to a new rumor from reliable SEGA and Atlus leaker lolilolailo.
The leaker hinted at the window on ResetEra, suggesting that Persona 4 Revival could follow the same release month as Persona 3 Reload. That game launched in February 2024 and became a major success for Atlus.
The timing would make sense. Persona 3 Reload was well received by critics and became the fastest Persona game to reach 1 million sales. It later passed 2 million copies sold by March 2025. If Atlus wants to repeat that success, February could be a strong window for Persona 4 Revival too.
Persona 4 Revival is a full remake of Atlus’ 2008 PlayStation 2 JRPG. The original later received an expanded version, Persona 4 Golden, on PlayStation Vita in 2012. Revival is expected to be the most complete version yet, rebuilt for modern hardware with new 3D environments, updated character models, and an expanded soundtrack.

The story follows a student who moves to the rural town of Inaba and becomes involved in a murder mystery linked to a strange world inside TV screens. Alongside friends like Yosuke, Chie, Yukiko, Kanji, Rise, Naoto, and Teddie, players explore dungeons, battle Shadows, build Social Links, and use Persona fusion to grow stronger.
Persona 4 Revival will include the content from Persona 4 Golden, including Marie’s storyline, the Hollow Forest dungeon, and the expanded True Ending. It is also expected to add new story scenes, updated Velvet Room mechanics, and quality of life improvements closer to modern Persona standards.

That last part is important. Persona 5 Royal and Persona 3 Reload changed expectations for how smooth and stylish modern Persona games should feel. Revival will need to preserve Persona 4’s charm while making its combat, exploration, menus, and pacing feel less dated.
The February 2027 window is still not confirmed by Atlus, so it should be treated as a rumor for now. But the source has a strong track record with SEGA and Atlus information, and the Persona 3 Reload comparison gives the date some logic.
If the rumor is accurate, Atlus may be preparing Persona 4 Revival as its next major remake success. Persona 3 Reload proved there is huge demand for modern versions of older Persona games, and Persona 4 may be even more beloved by many fans.
For now, February 2027 is the month to watch. If Atlus follows the Reload playbook, Persona 4 Revival could become one of the biggest JRPG releases of early 2027.
