Nvidia Gives Away a Custom Gears of War: E Day RTX 5080 Founders Edition

Nvidia has launched a new graphics card giveaway featuring a custom GeForce RTX 5080 Founders Edition inspired by Gears of War: E Day.

The limited design uses a red and black finish with artwork connected to the upcoming game, including the series’ familiar skull logo. Although the hardware is based on the standard RTX 5080 Founders Edition, the custom exterior gives it additional appeal as a collector’s item.

The promotion formed part of Nvidia’s GeForce Summer Nights activities and a dedicated Gears of War takeover. Entry required people to interact with the promotional post and watch Nvidia’s scheduled livestream.

The livestream took place on July 17, 2026, from 1 PM to 5 PM Pacific Time. Since that date has already passed, the original entry period may now be closed. Anyone checking the promotion later should confirm its current status through Nvidia’s official social accounts.

How the RTX 5080 giveaway worked

Nvidia asked entrants to leave a comment containing the hashtag #RTXPowersPlay on its giveaway post. Participants were also directed to watch the company’s GeForce presenter during the Gears of War livestream.

The promotion used a simple entry process, but eligibility could still depend on regional restrictions, age requirements, and the official contest terms. Giveaways of this kind are often limited to selected countries and may require participants to follow additional rules.

Nvidia also advised entrants to monitor their direct messages and email accounts. The selected winner would receive a private message, and a response was required within two days. If the winner did not reply within that period, Nvidia could choose another person.
