NVIDIA brings back Summer of RTX with GeForce RTX 50 prizes for gaming fans

NVIDIA has brought back its Summer of RTX campaign for 2026, giving PC gamers a chance to win GeForce RTX 50 series graphics cards, gaming PCs, laptops, Steam Cash, gift cards, and other rewards during the summer gaming event season. The campaign is running under the hashtag “#RTXPowersPlay” and will be tied to livestreams, social media prompts, game showcases, and major events such as Summer Game Fest and Gamescom.

The timing makes sense. June is packed with gaming events, and NVIDIA usually uses this period to promote RTX features, new trailers, PC hardware, and upcoming games with ray tracing, DLSS, and other GeForce technologies. This year’s campaign is clearly built around the RTX 50 series, giving the company a way to keep its newest GPUs visible throughout the summer.

The main sweepstakes prize pool includes several Founders Edition graphics cards. NVIDIA is listing five GeForce RTX 5070 Founders Edition cards, ten GeForce RTX 5080 Founders Edition cards, one GeForce RTX 5090 Founders Edition card, and four custom wrapped GeForce RTX 5080 Founders Edition cards.

The campaign is not limited to standalone GPUs. A separate contest prize list includes eight more rewards, including custom gaming PCs from Digital Storm, Falcon Northwest, Maingear, Starforge, and Steiger Dynamics. Each of those systems includes a GeForce RTX 5080. NVIDIA is also listing RTX 5080 laptops from Gigabyte, ASUS, and HP.

NVIDIA is also bringing back “RTX Watch and Win,” where viewers can earn chances at smaller rewards while watching new trailers during major gaming shows. These rewards include Steam Cash, gift cards, GeForce Trading Cards, and other items depending on the event and rule set.

The campaign calendar starts with Computex Taipei from June 2 to June 5. After that, NVIDIA will connect the promotion to Summer Game Fest on June 5, the PC Gaming Show on June 6, IGN Live on June 6 and 7, the Xbox Games Showcase on June 7, and Steam Next Fest from June 15 to June 22. Later summer activities include RTX Play Live: Summer Edition, GeForce Summer Nights in July, and RTX PC Week before Gamescom.

The entry process depends on the specific promotion. NVIDIA says players should follow GeForce and GeForce NOW social channels, then respond to selected posts with the required prompt or hashtag. The campaign page mentions “#RTXPowersPlay” and “#RTXOn,” but each giveaway may have its own rules.

For NVIDIA, this is both a giveaway and a marketing push. The company wants RTX 50 series cards to remain part of every major PC gaming conversation this summer. Tying the campaign to showcase season helps NVIDIA connect its hardware to upcoming games, trailers, and livestream moments when players are already paying attention.

For players, the appeal is simple. RTX 50 series hardware is expensive, and a campaign that includes RTX 5070, RTX 5080, and RTX 5090 prizes will naturally draw interest. The custom PCs and laptops make the prize pool even stronger.

The Summer of RTX campaign is not a product launch by itself, but it gives NVIDIA a steady presence across the next few months. With Computex, Summer Game Fest, the Xbox Games Showcase, Steam Next Fest, and Gamescom all coming into view, NVIDIA is making sure RTX 50 hardware stays visible throughout the busiest part of the PC gaming calendar.
