MSI’s new Mandalorian RTX 5080 is made for collectors, but only 500 cards are coming to Europe

MSI has introduced a special Star Wars themed GeForce RTX 5080 graphics card inspired by The Mandalorian and Grogu. The card is aimed at PC builders who want high end gaming hardware with a collector style design, but it will be very hard to buy. MSI plans to make only 500 units, and availability is limited to selected European markets.

The graphics card is called the MSI GeForce RTX 5080 16G The Mandalorian and Grogu Edition OC. It uses MSI’s Gaming Trio style design, with three fans and a custom look based on Din Djarin’s armor. The color scheme uses brown and grey tones, giving the card a different appearance from MSI’s regular RTX 5080 Gaming Trio models.

What makes this version more interesting is its swappable backplate system. MSI includes four interchangeable plates, each based on a different Star Wars design. You can choose from The Mandalorian helmet, Grogu, the New Republic symbol, and the Imperial Remnants emblem. That gives the card more personality than a standard themed GPU, especially if you like changing your PC build’s look.

The package also includes a Grogu themed VGA holder. This is not only decorative. Large modern graphics cards can sag inside a PC case, and the holder is meant to support the card while matching the theme.

MSI’s Mandalorian RTX 5080 will go on sale from May 22, 2026. That date lines up with the cinema release of The Mandalorian and Grogu. The card will be sold through selected retail partners and MSI’s own online store in Europe. Pricing has not been shared yet.

This card is clearly not meant to be a regular RTX 5080 purchase for everyone. It is a collector product first, with the RTX 5080 performance sitting under a rare Star Wars design. For most PC builders, price and availability will decide whether it makes sense. For Star Wars fans who already wanted a premium RTX 5080, the limited run may make it more tempting.
