Epic Games Store has refreshed its weekly PC game giveaway, allowing you to claim Mechabellum and Astrea: Six Sided Oracles for free until October 1, 2026.
Both games can be permanently added to your library during the promotion. Once claimed, they remain tied to your account after the giveaway ends.
Astrea: Six Sided Oracles has previously been offered for free on the platform, so you may already own it. Mechabellum joins the promotion as the other title in this week's lineup.
Two strategy focused games are available this week
Astrea: Six Sided Oracles was released in 2023 and takes a different approach to the deck building roguelike formula.
Instead of building a conventional deck of cards, the game uses dice to determine actions. Players must manage safe, balanced and risky rolls while fighting enemies and progressing through encounters.
The setting follows a ruined star system devastated by a destructive event that corrupted much of its world. Players take control of characters capable of using powers left behind following that disaster.

Mechabellum focuses on large scale automated battles rather than direct control of individual units.
Players draft troops, arrange formations and customize their armies before watching battles unfold in 3D arenas.
Different multiplayer formats are available, including 1v1 and 2v2 matches.
Mechabellum lets you modify units during battle
Unit customization is an important part of Mechabellum.
Players can configure technology trees in the hangar and then unlock specific upgrades during matches based on the opposing army.
These upgrades can significantly change how individual units operate.
A sniper, for example, can be modified for rapid fire attacks against groups of weaker enemies. Heavy tanks can also be equipped with self destruct abilities, providing different ways to counter enemy formations.
The system is designed around adapting your army rather than simply deploying stronger units.
Positioning, unit composition and upgrade choices all influence the outcome once combat begins.
Astrea is a repeat giveaway
Astrea: Six Sided Oracles has already appeared as a free Epic Games Store title in the past.
If you regularly collect the platform's weekly giveaways, it is worth checking your library before trying to claim it again.
Mechabellum may therefore be the more notable addition for players who have been collecting free games for several years.
Both titles are available for seven days.
Next week's free games are already confirmed
The current promotion ends on October 1.
Once it expires, two different games are scheduled to replace them.
System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster and Buried Stars are set to become the next free PC games.
As usual, you only need to claim the current titles before the deadline. You do not need to download or play them during the promotion.
