Lonestar and Calico are free to claim on Epic Games Store until June 4

Epic Games Store has refreshed its weekly free game lineup, and this time PC players can claim Lonestar and Calico at no cost. Both games are free to keep if you add them to your Epic Games Store library before June 4. After that, a new mystery giveaway will replace them.

The latest offer follows last week’s giveaway, which included Tomb Raider I III Remastered and Down in Bermuda. Epic is still running its mystery giveaway promotion, so the company is not revealing next week’s free game early. Players will have to wait until the next refresh to see what replaces Lonestar and Calico.

Lonestar is the more strategy focused game in this week’s pair. Developed by Math Tide, it is a sci fi roguelike built around deck building and tactical battles. Players take on the role of a bounty hunter traveling through the universe and capturing criminals. The game lets you earn treasures, improve your ship, and experiment with different setups as you move through each run.

Lonestar’s main hook is its Shockwave Battle system. Instead of simple direct combat, ships test their power against each other, and the stronger side comes out ahead. That gives battles a different rhythm from many other deck builders. For players who enjoy roguelikes, card based tactics, and spaceship customization, Lonestar is likely the bigger draw this week.

Calico is very different. Developed by Peachy Keen Games, it is a community sim about rebuilding a town’s cat cafe. The tone is cozy and light, with players decorating the cafe, placing furniture, making pastries, and bringing animals back into the space. You can also interact with animals around the town, which makes it better suited for players who want something relaxed instead of competitive or tactical.

The two games make this a balanced giveaway. Lonestar is for players who want strategy, runs, upgrades, and decision making. Calico is for players who want a slower game built around decoration, animals, and casual town life. Since both are free to keep, there is little reason not to claim both if you use Epic Games Store on PC.

Epic is also offering a separate mobile giveaway this week. Android and iOS players can claim Northgard through the Epic Games Store mobile app. That gives mobile players their own free game while PC users get Lonestar and Calico.

The offer ends on June 4, so players have one week to claim the games. Once added to your library, they remain yours permanently, even after the promotion ends.
