Lenovo has announced the ThinkStation P4, a new 30 liter desktop workstation built around AMD Ryzen PRO 9000 processors and NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell workstation graphics. The system is planned for select global markets starting in June 2026, although Lenovo has not shared pricing yet.
The ThinkStation P4 is notable because Lenovo says it is the first workstation to combine AMD Ryzen PRO 9000 Series processors with NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Workstation Edition GPUs. Select models will also offer AMD 3D V Cache, which Lenovo describes as the first use of that technology in the professional workstation segment.

The top processor option is the AMD Ryzen 9 PRO 9965X3D. It offers up to 16 cores and a boost clock of up to 5.5GHz. This is a workstation focused Ryzen PRO version of AMD’s 16 core X3D desktop class chip, but Lenovo is positioning it for professional use rather than gaming. Target workloads include CAD, BIM, simulation, rendering, software development, and media production.
The graphics options go up to NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Workstation Edition or RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Max Q Workstation Edition. Lenovo lists 96GB of GDDR7 ECC memory and up to 4000 TOPS of GPU AI performance. That makes the system suitable for demanding professional graphics, local AI workloads, GPU rendering, and compute heavy tasks.

Memory support reaches up to 256GB of DDR5 across four DIMM slots, with speeds listed up to 6400 MT/s depending on configuration. Lenovo lists 16GB and 32GB ECC UDIMM options, along with non ECC UDIMM and 64GB non ECC CUDIMM support.
Storage is also flexible. The ThinkStation P4 supports up to six total drives, including up to three M.2 PCIe NVMe SSDs and up to three 3.5 inch SATA hard drives. M.2 storage can reach up to 12TB in total, while hard drive storage can reach up to 36TB.

Expansion includes one PCIe 5.0 x16 slot, one PCIe 4.0 x4 slot, and two PCIe 4.0 x1 slots. Connectivity includes Wi Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, 2.5GbE Ethernet, USB C, several USB A ports, DisplayPort, HDMI, and optional legacy style ports such as serial and LPT depending on configuration.
Lenovo is also listing ISV certifications from companies such as Autodesk, ANSYS, AVID, Altair, Bentley, Dassault, Nemetschek, PTC, and Siemens. That matters for workstation buyers because certified systems are often preferred in professional environments where software reliability is more important than raw benchmark numbers.
The ThinkStation P4 looks like a compact but powerful workstation for professionals who want high CPU performance, large memory capacity, and Blackwell class GPU acceleration without moving to a much larger tower. The lack of pricing leaves one major question, but the hardware mix suggests this will be aimed at serious business and creator buyers rather than normal desktop users.
