Lenovo has introduced the ThinkStation P4, a new 30 liter desktop workstation built around AMD Ryzen PRO 9000 processors and NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell graphics. The system is expected to arrive in select markets worldwide starting in June 2026, though pricing has not been announced yet.
The ThinkStation P4 is important because Lenovo says it is the first workstation to combine AMD Ryzen PRO 9000 chips with NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Workstation Edition graphics. Select models will also include AMD 3D V Cache, which Lenovo describes as a first for the professional workstation segment.
The top processor option is the AMD Ryzen 9 PRO 9965X3D. It offers up to 16 cores and a boost clock of up to 5.5GHz. This is a workstation focused Ryzen PRO chip based on AMD’s 16 core X3D desktop class CPU, but Lenovo is targeting professional work rather than gaming.
That includes CAD, BIM, simulation, rendering, software development, media production, and other demanding workloads that can benefit from strong CPU performance and large GPU memory.

Graphics options go up to the NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Workstation Edition or RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Max Q Workstation Edition. Lenovo lists up to 96GB of GDDR7 ECC memory and up to 4000 TOPS of GPU AI performance, making this a serious option for AI, visualization, 3D production, and GPU heavy professional workloads.

The system supports up to 256GB of DDR5 memory across four DIMM slots. Memory speeds can reach up to 6400 MT/s depending on the configuration. Storage support includes up to six total drives, with up to three M.2 PCIe NVMe SSDs and up to three 3.5 inch SATA hard drives.

Lenovo is also positioning the ThinkStation P4 as a certified professional system. It lists ISV certifications from companies including Autodesk, ANSYS, AVID, Bentley, Dassault, Nemetschek, PTC, Siemens, and Altair. That matters for workstation buyers because software certification can be more important than raw specs in professional environments.
The workstation includes a broad set of ports, including USB C, multiple USB A ports, audio inputs, media card reader support, DisplayPort, HDMI, Ethernet, and optional legacy style ports depending on configuration.
The ThinkStation P4 looks like a compact but powerful option for professionals who need a serious desktop workstation without moving to a much larger tower. The combination of Ryzen PRO 9000, 3D V Cache, RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell, and up to 256GB of DDR5 gives Lenovo a strong platform for creators, engineers, developers, and AI focused teams.
The main missing detail is price. With these specifications, high end configurations are unlikely to be cheap. Still, the ThinkStation P4 gives AMD and Lenovo a stronger position in the professional workstation market, especially for buyers who want workstation reliability with desktop class Ryzen performance.
