Lenovo is reportedly preparing a premium laptop called the Googlebook 15, with leaked specifications pointing to a 120Hz OLED display, an Intel Core Ultra 5 processor and up to 32GB of memory.
The device has been identified as the Lenovo GB 15IPH12 and appears to sit above the hardware normally associated with mainstream Chromebooks. Its combination of a high resolution OLED touchscreen, Thunderbolt 4 connectivity and relatively powerful Intel hardware suggests Lenovo is targeting buyers who want a more premium Chrome based laptop.
Pricing and launch details have not yet been disclosed, so the information should be treated as unofficial until Lenovo formally announces the device.

OLED display appears to be a major selling point
The display is one of the strongest parts of the leaked specification.
Lenovo is reportedly using a 15.3 inch OLED touchscreen with a 2880 x 1800 resolution and refresh rate of up to 120Hz. Maximum brightness is listed at 500 nits, while the panel is expected to cover 100 percent of the DCI P3 color space.
Those specifications place the Googlebook 15 closer to premium Windows laptops than traditional lower cost Chromebooks.
The higher refresh rate should make scrolling and animations look smoother, while OLED technology can provide deeper blacks and stronger contrast than standard LCD panels.
Intel Core Ultra 5 powers the laptop
The Googlebook 15 is expected to use Intel's Core Ultra 5 325 processor.
The chip reportedly includes integrated graphics with four Xe cores. Lenovo documentation connects the platform code used by the laptop with Intel's Panther Lake H platform.
Two memory configurations are expected, with either 16GB or 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM.
Storage options are more modest, with 256GB and 512GB capacities mentioned in the leaked material.
For a Chrome based system, however, 32GB of RAM would be unusually generous and reinforces the idea that Lenovo is building the machine for a higher price category.
Thunderbolt 4 and WiFi 7 are included
Connectivity also looks relatively complete.
The laptop is expected to feature two Thunderbolt 4 ports, one USB A port, HDMI 2.0 and a 3.5mm audio jack.
Wireless connectivity reportedly includes WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4.
Despite the 15.3 inch display, the chassis is said to weigh only 1.29kg, making it relatively light for a laptop of this size.
Lenovo is also using a 70Wh battery. Internal testing reportedly estimates battery life of up to 11 hours, although real world endurance will depend heavily on brightness, workload and the use of the 120Hz OLED display.
Gemini and Google specific features are built in
The Googlebook 15 is also expected to include several features tied closely to Google's ecosystem.
Built in Gemini functionality is listed alongside Android phone synchronization, fingerprint authentication and Google's facial authentication system.
The keyboard reportedly includes a dedicated Google G key for quicker access to Google functions.
Another unusual feature is a multicolor LED strip near the hinge called the Glowbar. It can display information such as battery and charging status without requiring you to open additional software.
Lenovo has not yet confirmed the Googlebook 15, its price or its release schedule.
If the leaked specifications are accurate, the device could represent a more ambitious attempt to position Chrome based laptops alongside premium productivity machines rather than keeping them mainly in the budget and education segments.
