Intel is expected to bring several major product updates to Computex 2026, with attention likely spread across handheld gaming chips, data center processors, next generation desktop CPUs, and entry level laptop platforms. The company has already moved forward with Panther Lake and Core Ultra Series 3, but Computex could be where Intel shows how those pieces fit into its broader comeback plan.
One of the most important areas to watch is handheld gaming. Intel recently revealed its Arc G3 series chips, which are Panther Lake based processors designed specifically for gaming handhelds. This is a category where AMD has had a strong lead, especially with chips used in devices like the ROG Ally and other Windows handhelds.
Intel struggled to gain wide adoption with earlier Core Ultra handheld chips, with MSI being one of the few major brands to use them. This time, the situation looks different. Acer, MSI, and OneXPlayer have already prepared handhelds using Intel’s Arc G3 Extreme chip, which suggests Intel may finally have broader support from hardware partners.
The Arc G3 Extreme is expected to use a 14 core configuration and 12 Xe3 GPU cores. Intel is positioning it as a serious rival to AMD’s Ryzen Z2 Extreme, and early product announcements show that PC makers are willing to give it a chance. If performance and battery life are strong, Arc G3 could become Intel’s most credible handheld gaming push so far.

The data center side may be just as important. Intel has already confirmed that Clearwater Forest Xeon 6 Plus processors have entered mass production. These chips are built on Intel’s 18A process and use technologies such as RibbonFET, PowerVia, Foveros Direct 3D, and EMIB 2.5D.

Clearwater Forest is aimed at data centers and is expected to offer up to 288 efficient cores. Intel has also claimed twice the core count compared with Xeon 6700E, 17 percent higher IPC per core, and more than five times the last level cache. For Intel, this is a chance to show that its foundry and server roadmap still has strength at a time when AI and cloud workloads are reshaping the market.
Nova Lake may be another major topic. Intel has not shared many official details yet, but the company’s roadmap points to a launch this year. Nova Lake is expected to become Core Ultra Series 4 and could bring a mix of Xe3 and Xe3P graphics architectures. Reports have suggested the lineup may scale as high as 52 cores on flagship models, with power ratings up to 175W.
If Intel introduces Nova Lake at Computex, it would give desktop buyers a clearer look at the company’s next step after Arrow Lake and Panther Lake. Intel needs a stronger desktop story, especially as AMD continues to push gaming performance with its X3D processors.
Wildcat Lake could also appear through more budget laptops and mini PCs. The platform has already surfaced in benchmarks and some Chinese laptops, including models priced around $449. Intel may use it to compete in lower cost, power efficient systems, including devices aimed at buyers who want an affordable alternative to Apple’s MacBook Neo.
The larger message is that Intel needs Computex 2026 to show momentum across several markets at once. Arc G3 could help it fight AMD in handheld gaming, Clearwater Forest could strengthen its data center story, Nova Lake could reset expectations on desktops, and Wildcat Lake could give OEMs a cheaper mobile platform.
Intel still has plenty to prove. Strong specs and partner interest will not be enough if battery life, software support, thermals, and real world performance fall short. But if the company can show polished products across handhelds, laptops, desktops, and servers, Computex 2026 could become one of Intel’s most important events of the year.
