Intel’s Wildcat Lake lineup is starting to look more competitive in early benchmark results. The new Intel Core 7 350 has appeared on PassMark, where it beat Apple’s A19 Pro in multi threaded performance, although Apple still holds a clear lead in single core speed.
The Core 7 350 is one of the faster chips in Intel’s Core Series 3 Wildcat Lake family. It uses a 6 core layout with 2 Cougar Cove Performance cores and 4 Darkmont low power Efficient cores. It is designed for low power laptops, mini PCs, and affordable thin and light systems rather than high end gaming or workstation devices.
In PassMark, the Core 7 350 scored 4,228 points in single threaded testing and 16,237 points in multi threaded testing. Apple’s A19 Pro remains much stronger in single core work with 5,172 points, giving it an 18 percent lead. But Intel’s chip moves ahead in multi core performance, where it beats the A19 Pro by around 9 percent.

The result shows the different strengths of both platforms. Apple’s A19 Pro still has impressive single core performance, which helps with quick app launches, light tasks, and workloads that rely heavily on one fast core. Intel’s Core 7 350 uses more cores to pull ahead in multi threaded work, which can help with heavier productivity tasks, multitasking, and workloads that scale across several cores.
The Core 7 350 is also close to other Wildcat Lake chips already seen in benchmarks. The Core 5 320 and Core 5 330 are not far behind, which suggests that clock speed may be the main difference between these models. All three chips use a similar 6 core setup, 6MB of L3 cache, and a 15W TDP.

That 15W power rating is important. Intel is trying to make Wildcat Lake useful for affordable, efficient devices rather than premium only laptops. The first retail systems are already starting to appear, including Honor’s X14 laptop with the Core 5 320.
Wildcat Lake is also part of Intel’s push against Apple’s lower cost MacBook Neo. Apple has strong efficiency and a polished hardware ecosystem, but Intel and PC makers can respond with more RAM, more storage, wider port options, and lower pricing in some models.
These PassMark results do not tell the whole story. Real laptop performance will depend on cooling, battery size, power limits, memory speed, and how each manufacturer tunes the device. Still, the Core 7 350’s early score is a good sign for Intel’s mainstream lineup.
For buyers, the takeaway is simple. Apple still looks strong in single core speed, but Intel’s Wildcat Lake chips may offer better multi threaded performance in budget Windows laptops. If pricing stays low, Core Series 3 laptops could become a serious option for everyday productivity machines.
