Is there any specific way to remove bloatware from a samsung galaxy j5. There are loads of pre-installed Samsung apps which I don’t require. Any solution other than rooting the phone

I really just want to clean an free up my phone. I noticed that there are game app reviews in the my apps .. Which a lot of them I’ve uninstalled but there are some that I still have on the phone. Also, I installed an uninstaller app but when I hit cache ,or delete. Or clean files, I have not a clue which one to delete because I don’t want to lose everything

On my S7 with Oreo, there was also an app called Samsung Push Service. Once deleted, I think the ads are now gone. I hope it is permanently so. Thanks for the info.

There is no “Uninstall” option on the app I want to uninstall, just “Enable” or “Disable” options. I’m confused. I’m old and not hip. Please help. Thanks.

In Windows when you “uninstall” a program, the uninstall program leaves bits and pieces of it in the registry. That information is there in case you re-install so it can remember your configuration. I’m trying to uninstall Google Remote Desktop so I can reinstall and configure it differently. As it is, when I reinstall the program bypasses the configuration options and launches. Does Android have anything like a registry, or another place or places where this configuration can be deleted?

When you uninstall an app in Android, it loses all its configuration, not only its files. Therefore, when you install it again, you need to configure it from scratch, just like when installing it for the first time.

I wish to thank you Vlad. I read your article of how to delete an App on Android 5.1. I have just received my 10″ Tablet/Phone from China. In shows MediaTech when booting. It may be its make.
Anyway, I asked the supplier that I want to send it back because every now and then (40% of the time) during boot up, it stops with the screen showing “Loading”, “MediaTech” below it and a large Android icon at the bottom. It stalls showing this screen. I tried Resetting, but no response. It is like jammed showing the “Loading” screen. Hours later – when the battery runs out, it switches off. I charge it again and it may work properly or jams again. It never jams while working – only when loading.
Any faint idea of what it could be? I am a Windows man. I have a Smart phone but only use basic stuff as I am new to Android. I would very much appreciate your help if my problem is up your street.
By the way, I live in sunny Malta.
