I’m not at all concerned about notifications from apps – that seems quite simple to manage.
What I’d like to get rid of is a notification which it seems must be coming from the either the Android operating system or the Moto G Play system. Each time I clear one or many apps using the “clear all” command, a notification banner appears across the bottom of the screen saying “1 [or however many] app is cleared with –MB memory freed up”.
I understand what it’s telling me, and appreciate that function; I just don’t need to be notified about it, and don’t care to wait while buttons on my screen are obscured for 10 seconds or so until it disappears. This notification does not respond in any way to touch or hold, and I cannot find how to hide it.
Nice guide. Except for the fact that the notifications I’m trying to disable are LOCKED. I can not toggle a single thing. I can’t not toggle the master switch either. No one ever talks about what to do in this situation. So yes. I found my notification settings ages ago, except for some reason beyond my wildest imagination, I can’t adjust them at all. It’s all permanently locked on.
How do I get rid of a permanent notification from my Files app that I can’t turn off notifications from and doesn’t have a permanent switch on my Android Galaxy A01?
I’m here because I had previously paired to one of my co-workers little Bluetooth device to be able to listen to my music at work on the speakers. Well I unpaired it before I left work or so I thought. I got home and saw the Bluetooth symbol in my notifications I swiped down the bar and pressed clear all, And it doesn’t want to go away. It says Bluetooth request touch to pair with and it’s the name of the Bluetooth device I was connected to at work.
You should be careful about removing these notifications. Later versions of Android require apps to post a notification in order to perform certain types of activities, especially those that use accessibility services. Removing these could cause the app to not perform as expected.
I fail to understand the childish mentality of adults who think they are, but not smart or clever by using names of chocolates, biscuits etc; for a version of a camera in a mini-computer with a telephone.
P.S. The Pedestrian Road Crossings were easy to see, the word ‘crosswalk’ is not in my English, English dictionary.
I have Moto g5 plus . When I open shareit, a permanent notification appears with an Android symbol…I tried to hide or block the notification. But it still pops up ..can anyone tell what the problem really is?

Is it a work phone managed by your company? Or a personal one?

If you’ve seen Android 12 you would get why I’m looking FOR a permanent notification. To get rid of that damn big clock.

Thanks, this was really very helpful. I unsuccessfuly tried 5 blocking apps to achieve this only to come upon this simplest solution of yours.
In my case it was HotspotShield VPN wich had a permanent notification. Just blocked them following your instructions. thanks
Happy to help. 😉
