If your only goals is syncing contacts/tasks/appointments/files, then give MyPhoneExplorer a change.
I have been using it for many years now, on my old HTC One and now on my Honor 8x and my wife on her Psmart 2019.
Works like a charm, and best off all, although it can use Usb, Wifi is also an option, it even wakes/starts the client on your phone!

I think something is wrong – when on the ‘home’ page, it simply says ‘Connecting…’ continually and same if I shift to ‘My Device’ under any headings (Contacts, Messages and so on all the same). Anyone know what is happening – or rather why nothing is happening?

My Hauwei P Smart stopped connecting to my PC. I tried all the tips I found on Google but nothing worked. Eventually I just uninstalled HiSuite from my PC. I then reconnected my phone with a different USB cable and let it reinstall HiSuite. That did the trick and it’s worked OK since. I have tried it with the old cable but it won’t work because, apparently, that cable is only for charging and won’t handle data so I guess the reinstall was not necessary. I’ve had the same problem with my GoPro camera and a SatNav so it’s important to use the correct USB cable.

cannot connect my phone to my computer using a usb cord, hisuite software crashes always. i think huawei should make their devices plug and play like a usb storage device and not need any other application such as hisuite to access the phone files from the computer. by the way, other brand of phones don’t need any application to transfer files, unless huawei collects data from our personal devices by requiring to install software which after installing to your computer becomes suddenly a ghost…

    Hi there,
Just want to know is there a way for windows to connect to the phone internal storage directly? Basically I want to move the folders from windows to my phone, the folder contains the lecture notes I wish to view it on phones.

    Thank you.

Is there a way I can use a mouse/keyboard to perform selections in the phone using HiSuite? My phone screen broke and nothing is displayed. If I use HiSuite I can mirror whats on my phone onto the pc, but I cannot make any selection.

    Hi,

My phone screen is broken so I cannot access it to use hisuite, and have never uploaded or setup hisuite to sync my content. I never knew you couldn’t just old-school plug in via USB and access your files/photos…. can anyone help tell me how to do this without using hisuite at all?

    Thanks

Is there anyway of actually connecting your huawei phone to a laptop without installing this awful bloatware on your PC? like you can with literally any other brand of phone

So it doesn’t really work as a back up copy of the info you have in the phone, since you can’t later retrieve the info without connecting the phone to PC. Right?
