Hori Reveals Kuromi and Cinnamoroll Switch 2 Cases and Controllers for Japan

Hori is expanding its Nintendo Switch 2 accessory lineup with new Kuromi and Cinnamoroll themed cases and wired controllers. The officially licensed Sanrio accessories are set to launch in Japan later this year, giving Switch 2 owners more colourful options for carrying and playing with their console.

Both characters are getting a matching pouch and controller, with each design built around its own colour theme. Kuromi receives a darker purple and pink collection, while Cinnamoroll gets a softer white and light blue design with lemon themed details.

The new accessories have only been announced for Japan so far. Hori has not confirmed release plans for the United States, the United Kingdom, or other regions.

Kuromi Switch 2 Accessories Use a Purple and Pink Dessert Theme

The Kuromi collection includes the Kuromi Puffy Hybrid Pouch and a matching HoriPad Turbo Mini wired controller. The case has a hard shell design with Kuromi artwork, dessert illustrations, skull zipper details, and a fabric carry handle.

Inside, the pouch uses pink lining with matching artwork and includes storage for up to 10 Nintendo Switch or Switch 2 game cards. That makes it useful for players who still prefer carrying physical games while travelling.

The Kuromi HoriPad Turbo Mini has a small 13cm by 7cm design, making it better suited for players who prefer a compact controller. It uses a transparent purple chassis with glitter, matching the case’s darker and more playful style.

Cinnamoroll Collection Uses a Softer White and Blue Design

Cinnamoroll’s version follows the same product format but uses a gentler visual style. The pouch features the Sanrio character holding lemonade, with lemon slices and dessert artwork used across the case exterior and interior.

The matching controller has a transparent white body with light blue details. It also includes Turbo and Turbo Hold functions, though there is no mention of Hall effect or TMR sticks for either controller.

The Cinnamoroll pouch does not include the Kuromi version’s scrunchie handle, but it keeps the same protective hard shell structure and game card storage.

Japanese Launch Dates Are Set for August and October

Hori expects to release the Kuromi accessories in Japan on August 31, 2026. The Cinnamoroll versions are planned for October 30, 2026.

The release timing places the Cinnamoroll collection close to the launch of Hello Kitty Party Land for Switch 2, which is expected to arrive on October 29.

For now, international buyers will need to wait for Hori to announce wider availability. The company has brought some of its Switch themed accessories outside Japan in the past, but there is no confirmation that these Sanrio products will follow.

The new Kuromi and Cinnamoroll accessories continue Hori’s push toward more character themed Switch 2 hardware. They are practical products, but the main appeal is clearly the design, especially for Sanrio fans who want their console setup to match the rest of their collection.
