Grounded leads PlayStation Plus Essential lineup for June as EA Sports FC 26 gets extra time

PlayStation Plus Essential is getting a multiplayer focused lineup for June 2026, with Grounded: Fully Yoked Edition leading the month’s selection. The survival game from Obsidian Entertainment will be available for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 subscribers as part of the new monthly games rollout, joined by Nickelodeon All Star Brawl 2 and Warhammer 40,000: Darktide.

Sony revealed the lineup alongside its upcoming Days of Play sale, which begins on May 27, 2026. The June games will join PlayStation Plus Essential on June 2, after the current May lineup rotates out on June 1. That gives subscribers a short window to claim May’s remaining games before the new batch arrives.

EA Sports FC 26 will stay longer than usual because of the World Cup

The unusual part of this month’s lineup is EA Sports FC 26. The football game was already part of May’s PlayStation Plus Essential selection, but Sony is keeping it available into June. Instead of leaving with the rest of the May games on June 1, EA Sports FC 26 will remain claimable until June 16.

That timing appears linked to the FIFA World Cup. Keeping a major football game available during the early part of the tournament makes sense, especially for players who may want to jump into a football title while global interest in the sport is high. It is not clear whether Sony will add a different fourth game after EA Sports FC 26 leaves the service, so for now this looks like a special extension rather than a normal change to the monthly format.

Grounded: Fully Yoked Edition is the biggest addition for June. The game shrinks players down to insect size and places them in a backyard full of survival threats, crafting systems, base building, and co op exploration. The Fully Yoked Edition is positioned as the complete version of the game, making it a strong fit for subscribers who enjoy survival games with friends.

Nickelodeon All Star Brawl 2 brings a lighter competitive option to the lineup. It is a platform fighter built around Nickelodeon characters, giving the month a local and online multiplayer choice for players who prefer quick matches over longer campaigns.

Warhammer 40,000: Darktide adds a co op shooter angle. Set in the grim Warhammer 40K universe, it focuses on squad based missions, ranged combat, melee pressure, and enemy waves. Alongside Grounded and Nickelodeon All Star Brawl 2, it makes June’s Essential lineup unusually centered on games you can play with other people.

Before June begins, subscribers still have time to claim Nine Sols and WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers from May’s lineup. Those games will leave when the June selection arrives, while EA Sports FC 26 gets its short extension. For PlayStation Plus Essential members, June offers a broad mix of survival, fighting, shooting, and football, with Grounded standing out as the main draw.
