GPD’s next Win Max handheld PC may be one of its most ambitious devices yet. Early details point to a compact clamshell machine with a 9.06 inch OLED display, AMD Ryzen AI Max+ processors, up to 128GB of memory, and an unusual removable battery design.
The Win Max 3 has not been officially announced, so the information should be treated as preliminary. However, leaked listings and images suggest GPD is aiming less at a traditional handheld console and more at a miniature gaming laptop with built in controls.
The device is expected to use AMD’s Ryzen AI Max+ platform, also known as Strix Halo. That gives it access to a powerful integrated Radeon GPU with up to 40 compute units, making it far more capable than most compact handheld PCs.
