GOODRAM Launches RIVAL DDR4 RADIANT Memory for Older Gaming PCs

GOODRAM has introduced its new RIVAL DDR4 RADIANT desktop memory series for people still using DDR4 based gaming PCs. The new modules are aimed at systems built around processors such as AMD Ryzen 5000, Intel Alder Lake, and Intel Raptor Lake, giving owners a way to add more memory without replacing their motherboard, CPU, and existing platform.

DDR5 has become the standard for newer PCs, but DDR4 remains widely used across older gaming systems, office PCs, and home builds. Many of these machines still offer strong performance for modern games and everyday work, especially when paired with enough memory and a capable graphics card.

The RIVAL DDR4 RADIANT range runs at 3200MHz and will be available in 4GB, 8GB, 16GB, and 32GB capacities. Dual channel kits can reach up to 64GB, which should be enough for gaming, streaming, creative work, and heavier multitasking on older platforms.

DDR4 Still Offers a Practical Upgrade for Many PCs

For people using an older DDR4 motherboard, upgrading memory can be one of the simplest ways to improve a system. Moving from 8GB to 16GB or 32GB can help reduce slowdowns when multiple apps, browser tabs, games, or background programs are running.

GOODRAM is targeting buyers who want to extend the life of their current PC rather than move immediately to a DDR5 platform. That can be especially useful when a full motherboard and processor upgrade would be more expensive.

The Modules Use Standard Gaming Memory Features

The new memory modules use black PCBs and include aluminium heatspreaders available in red or green. The design is intended to suit gaming PCs with visible components, although the modules should also fit into more basic systems without any issue.

GOODRAM says the RIVAL DDR4 RADIANT modules use selected memory chips and are covered by a lifetime warranty with technical support from the manufacturer.

The CL16 and CL18 options give buyers some flexibility depending on the kit they choose. Lower latency can help in some workloads and games, but capacity is usually more important for people moving from a lower memory configuration.

A 16GB dual channel setup remains a sensible starting point for modern PC gaming, while 32GB is becoming increasingly useful for people who run demanding games alongside browsers, streaming software, Discord, or creative applications.

DDR4 Remains Relevant Despite DDR5 Growth

DDR4 is no longer the newest memory technology, but it is far from obsolete. Millions of systems using AM4 and Intel LGA 1700 platforms continue to rely on it, and many can still deliver strong gaming performance.

The RIVAL DDR4 RADIANT series gives those PC owners another upgrade option at a time when memory prices and full platform replacement costs remain a concern. For someone with a compatible motherboard, adding more DDR4 memory may be a cheaper and more practical upgrade than building a completely new system.
