Gigabyte’s new BRIX mini PC puts Intel Panther Lake into a tiny 0.46 liter chassis

Gigabyte has announced a new BRIX mini PC built around Intel’s next generation Panther Lake platform, giving businesses a compact system with modern AI, display, and connectivity features. The new model, called GB BRU9 386H, uses Intel’s Core Ultra 9 386H processor and comes in a small 0.46 liter chassis with a 35 mm profile.

This is not being positioned as a gaming mini PC. Gigabyte is targeting enterprise and edge deployments, including healthcare, factories, surveillance, robotics, and retail systems. That makes sense because compact PCs like this are often used behind displays, inside kiosks, on production floors, or in places where a full desktop tower would be too large.

The main upgrade is the processor. Intel’s Core Ultra 9 386H is part of the Core Ultra Series 3 lineup and is made on Intel 18A. It has 16 cores in total, with 4 Performance cores, 8 Efficient cores, and 4 Low Power Efficient cores. That gives the BRIX enough CPU flexibility for office workloads, local processing, signage, automation, and light AI tasks.

The new BRIX supports four 4K displays and up to 128GB of memory

Gigabyte has packed a lot of I/O into the small chassis. The system includes dual HDMI 2.1 outputs, dual USB4 Type C ports with DisplayPort Alt Mode, three USB 3.2 Gen2 Type A ports, 2.5GbE LAN, Wi Fi 7, and VESA mounting support. It can also drive up to four 4K displays, which could make it useful for retail displays, monitoring stations, control rooms, or compact productivity setups.

Memory support depends on the configuration. Gigabyte lists two SO DIMM DDR5 slots supporting up to 96GB at 5600 MT/s, or two CSO DIMM DDR5 slots supporting up to 128GB at 6400 MT/s. That is a lot of memory for a mini PC this small, and it could be useful for edge AI, multitasking, virtualization, or business software that needs more RAM.

Storage is handled by two M.2 NVMe SSD slots. That gives buyers room for a fast system drive and a second drive for data, caching, or application storage. For enterprise deployments, having two SSD slots in such a compact device is more useful than it may sound.

The Core Ultra 9 386H also includes an NPU rated up to 50 TOPS, while the integrated Intel Graphics is listed with up to 40 TOPS. However, this chip uses the smaller Panther Lake graphics configuration with four Xe3 cores. It is not the larger Arc B390 configuration used by some other Core Ultra Series 3 chips. That means the system is more focused on compact business and AI acceleration than heavy graphics performance.

The new BRIX will be shown at Computex 2026, but Gigabyte has not announced pricing yet. That will matter because Panther Lake mini PCs could land across a wide price range depending on memory, storage, and enterprise features.

For now, the GB BRU9 386H looks like a strong compact option for companies that want modern connectivity, multiple display support, local AI acceleration, and a very small footprint. It shows how much performance and I/O can now fit into mini PCs that are small enough to disappear behind a monitor.
