The Gigabyte Radeon RX 9070 XT Gaming OC has dropped to $629 on Amazon, giving PC builders a rare chance to buy one of AMD’s strongest RDNA 4 graphics cards close to its official reference MSRP.
The card was previously listed at $739, so the new limited time price cuts $110 from the recent selling price. That makes the deal notable because many Radeon RX 9070 XT models are still selling above $700 across major retailers.
The RX 9070 XT has been difficult to find at normal pricing for much of its life. It launched as AMD’s fastest RX 9000 series graphics card, and strong demand kept prices high. More recently, memory and component pressure pushed many GPU prices even higher, making sub $650 listings harder to find.
| Graphics card | Recent price | Deal price | Key detail |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gigabyte Radeon RX 9070 XT Gaming OC | $739 | $629 | Limited time Amazon deal |
| Radeon RX 9070 XT reference MSRP | $599 | Not applicable | Deal is $29 above reference MSRP |
| Typical rival listings | Over $700 | Not applicable | Many cards remain expensive |
The Gigabyte Gaming OC version is not a basic reference card. It comes with a triple fan cooler, a black shroud, factory overclocking, and 16GB of GDDR6 memory. Since OC editions usually cost more than reference models, being only $29 above reference MSRP makes the current price more appealing.
Performance is the main reason the RX 9070 XT still attracts attention. It is built for strong 1440p gaming and should handle modern games at high settings well above 60 FPS in many cases. The 16GB VRAM also gives it more breathing room than some competing cards with smaller memory capacities.
The deal also looks better when compared with NVIDIA’s current pricing. The RTX 5070 is closer in price, but the RX 9070 XT is generally positioned closer to the RTX 5070 Ti in performance. Meanwhile, some higher end NVIDIA cards are still selling at much higher prices.

AMD also has FSR 4.1 support on the RX 9000 series, including upscaling and frame generation in supported games. That gives the RX 9070 XT another way to improve frame rates, especially at higher settings.
This is still a deal that depends on timing. Amazon prices can change quickly, and GPU discounts often disappear once stock runs low. But at $629, the Gigabyte Radeon RX 9070 XT Gaming OC is one of the more attractive mid range GPU deals right now.
For buyers building a 1440p gaming PC, this looks like a strong option. The card offers 16GB of VRAM, high refresh 1440p performance, a custom cooler, and a price much closer to where the RX 9070 XT should have been all along.
