Epic has refreshed its weekly PC game giveaway, replacing last week's Buried Stars and System Shock 2 offers with two new free titles: TerraScape and Out of Sight.
Both games can be claimed at no cost until October 15. Once added to your library during the promotional period, they remain available to play afterward.
The two games offer very different experiences. TerraScape combines city building with puzzle and strategy systems, while Out of Sight is a horror adventure centered on a blind girl trying to escape a disturbing mansion.
TerraScape Mixes City Building With Card Based Strategy
TerraScape approaches the city building genre with a more structured puzzle format.
Instead of freely selecting every building from a traditional construction menu, you receive buildings through decks of cards. Each structure can earn different amounts of points depending on where you place it and what surrounds it.
The system encourages you to think carefully about positioning rather than simply expanding your settlement as quickly as possible.
| Free game | Genre | Key feature |
|---|---|---|
| TerraScape | City builder and puzzle strategy | Card based building placement |
| Out of Sight | Horror adventure | Navigation through a teddy bear's perspective |
| Claim deadline | October 15 | Added games remain in your library |
TerraScape also includes multiplayer.
Versus mode allows players to compete for the highest score by placing buildings strategically and building a lead over multiple rounds.
Cooperative play takes a different approach, allowing you to work together to improve the same kingdom and maximize the total score.
That gives the game additional replay value beyond its single player city building systems.
Out of Sight Uses an Unusual Horror Perspective
Out of Sight offers a much darker experience.
The game follows a young blind girl attempting to escape from a mansion with a disturbing history. Instead of seeing directly through her eyes, you navigate the environment through the perspective of her teddy bear.
That setup changes how exploration works and gives the horror game a distinctive visual mechanic.
As you move through the mansion, you uncover information about what happened there and gradually piece together the events that turned the location into a dangerous place.
The game's story is built around uncertainty and perception. What the player sees cannot always be treated as completely reliable, creating additional tension while exploring the environment.
Last Week's Free Games Are No Longer Available
The arrival of TerraScape and Out of Sight also means the previous weekly offers have ended.
Buried Stars and System Shock 2 were available during the previous promotion, but they can no longer be claimed for free if you missed the deadline.
Epic continues to rotate its PC giveaways every week, with new games replacing the current selection once the promotion ends.

TerraScape and Out of Sight will remain free to claim until October 15. After that date, another set of games is expected to replace them.
There is also a separate weekly giveaway program available through the mobile version of the store on supported Android and iOS devices.
For this week's PC promotion, TerraScape is the better option if you prefer strategy, building and multiplayer competition, while Out of Sight provides a more focused horror experience built around exploration and atmosphere.
Since both are free for the same seven day period, you can simply claim both and decide which one to play later.
