Eight Games Will Leave Xbox Game Pass on July 15

Xbox Game Pass will lose eight games on July 15, 2026, after Microsoft removed three titles from its original leaving soon list. Subscribers now have limited time to finish or buy the remaining games before they leave the service.

The final list includes co-op favourites, strategy games, racing style cleaning games, and several story driven adventures. PowerWash Simulator and Golf With Your Friends are likely to be the biggest losses for multiplayer groups, while Dungeons of Hinterberg and Shadow of the Tomb Raider may be worth prioritising for solo players.

Microsoft originally listed eleven games for removal, but My Friendly Neighborhood, Back to the Dawn, and Whiskerwood have since been taken off the list. Those three games are no longer expected to leave Game Pass in mid July.

Three games have been removed from the leaving soon list

My Friendly Neighborhood, Back to the Dawn, and Whiskerwood were initially included among the games leaving Game Pass on July 15. Microsoft later removed all three from the list, which suggests their Game Pass agreements have been extended or the earlier information was incorrect.

That means subscribers can continue playing those titles after the mid July deadline, at least for now.

The change is a reminder that Game Pass departure lists can shift before the final removal date. Microsoft occasionally renews agreements or corrects listings, especially when publishers decide to keep a game available for longer.

Co-op players may feel the biggest impact

Golf With Your Friends has spent years on Xbox Game Pass, making its removal especially noticeable for groups that use it as a casual multiplayer game. It is easy to start, supports a wide range of courses, and works well for friends who want something less competitive than shooters or sports games.

PowerWash Simulator is another major co-op loss. The game became popular because of its simple but satisfying cleaning gameplay, and it has received several themed expansions over time. Its departure may encourage players to finish unfinished jobs or buy the game at a discount.

Game Pass subscribers can usually buy leaving titles with at least a 20% discount before they are removed. Some may also receive larger reductions during Xbox sales, so it is worth checking the store if there is a game you want to keep permanently.

Dungeons of Hinterberg is worth playing before the deadline

Dungeons of Hinterberg may be one of the strongest single player options on the list. The game combines dungeon exploration, action combat, social activities, and a colourful alpine setting. It is not especially long, making it easier to complete before July 15.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider is also worth considering if you have played the earlier games in the trilogy. It offers a larger focus on exploration, tombs, and stealth, while bringing Lara Croft’s modern origin story to a close.

With eight games leaving and three staying, Xbox Game Pass subscribers have a clearer list for early July. The deadline is still close, so anyone interested in these titles should start downloading them soon.
