Dell 27 Plus QHD S2725DSM Drops to $189.99, $30 Under Dell's Own Price

Amazon has the Dell 27 Plus QHD Monitor (S2725DSM) at $189.99, and the discount survives the check that matters most. Dell sells the same monitor on its own store for $219.99, with no strikethrough and no markdown of its own at the time of writing.

That makes the $30 gap a genuine cross-retailer saving, not a cut from an inflated MSRP that nobody charges. Amazon shows the listing as In Stock, with a $219.99 list price and a 14 percent discount, checked on September 22, 2026.

The configuration is a 27-inch IPS panel at 2560 x 1440, running at 144Hz with AMD FreeSync and two 3W speakers. Dell rates it at 350 nits, a 1,500:1 static contrast ratio and 99 percent sRGB coverage.

That matters because the two rival QHD office monitors compared below run at 75Hz and 100Hz on their makers’ own spec pages. Dell also bundles a fully adjustable stand, which is not a given in this price bracket, as Dell’s wider run of work and gaming display discounts tends to show.

The missing M is a different, slower monitor

Dell sells a near-identically named sibling called the S2725DS, without the M. It is a lower-specified display that runs at 100Hz with an 8ms response time and two 5W speakers.

One letter separates the two model numbers on a shelf or in a search box. This deal applies to the 144Hz S2725DSM only, so the SKU is worth reading twice before checkout.

The response-time line deserves a second look. Dell publishes 1ms as a moving-picture figure, alongside gray-to-gray numbers of 4ms, 5ms and 8ms depending on the overdrive setting. The 1ms in the Amazon title is the best case, not a flat spec.

No USB-C at all is the strongest reason to look elsewhere

Dell’s spec listing for the S2725DSM shows no USB ports of any kind. That means no USB-C, no power delivery and no downstream hub.

For a one-cable office setup, that is a real limitation rather than a rounding error. A laptop cannot take power, send video and reach its peripherals over a single cable here.

Charging and docking stay separate jobs, handled by the laptop’s own adapter and whatever hub is already on the desk. Anyone who wants USB-C charging from the screen needs a different Dell model, since this one does not offer it at any price.

How it compares with two other QHD office monitors

The closest published rivals sit either side of the Dell on refresh rate and price. Both are 27-inch QHD IPS panels aimed at desk work rather than gaming.

LG positions the 27QN600-B as a mainstream home and office display with AMD FreeSync and HDR10. Samsung markets the ViewFinity line for productivity, and its own store price for the S6 sits $40 above the Dell deal price.

Dell’s own page also lists Premium Panel Exchange on this SKU, which Dell advertises as a replacement for even a single bright pixel. Dell’s separate general policy document does not yet name the S2725DSM in its eligibility tables, so that promise is best read from the product page itself.

Several things are not published. Amazon does not state an end date for the discount, and the seller and fulfillment details were not confirmed in the captured listing data, so Prime shipping should not be assumed.

LG does not publish a price on the 27QN600-B page used here. That leaves the Samsung as the only rival with a maker-set figure to compare against.

Prices and stock move without notice, as the fast-moving QHD monitor deals below $200 and Dell’s own Alienware display refreshes both keep showing. The $189.99 checked on September 22, 2026 may not be the number on screen later.
