Cyberpunk 2077 fan builds NUSA Infiltrator jacket with flexible OLED collar and Raspberry Pi power

A cosplay maker has recreated the NUSA Infiltrator jacket from Cyberpunk 2077, complete with a working flexible OLED collar that can even display gameplay. The project was built by robotics and animatronic cosplay creator Zibartas, who recreated the rare white version of the in game bomber jacket and packed its tall collar with around $1,200 worth of flexible OLED screens.

The jacket’s most striking feature is its display collar. Zibartas used four flexible OLED panels, with each screen costing about $300. The idea was to make the jacket feel like a real piece of Cyberpunk tech rather than a normal costume with printed details.

The project did not come together easily. Zibartas first tried using a pair of Raspberry Pi 5 boards to drive the screens, expecting the newer hardware to be better for a portable display setup. After a week of testing, the maker found that Raspberry Pi 4 boards worked better for this specific job because their hardware decoders handled the display setup more effectively.

Syncing the four OLED screens was another challenge. The first attempt used a direct gigabit network connection, but that added too much overhead. Zibartas later switched to hardware GPIO pulses and Python to get the displays as closely synced as possible.

The physical build also had its own problems. One OLED screen was damaged while being fitted into the collar’s EVA foam housing, turning into a costly $300 mistake. After more testing, Zibartas created a semi rigid understructure with side tracks that resist twisting. That helped protect the flexible displays while still keeping the curved collar shape.

The rest of the jacket also includes careful Cyberpunk inspired details. Zibartas 3D printed a shoulder mounted radar jammer section using flexible resin and added four indicator LEDs. The extra components were finished in black, chrome, and other materials to match the futuristic look.

The two Raspberry Pi 4 boards and two power banks are hidden in pockets around the mid lower back of the jacket. This keeps the electronics out of sight while giving the screens and LEDs about three hours of power.

At the moment, the collar mainly plays a pre made animation loop. But because the setup runs on Linux and uses HDMI capable displays, Zibartas said the system can do much more. To prove that, the maker connected the jacket to a Steam Controller and played Cyberpunk 2077 on the OLED collar itself.

That makes the project more than a visual cosplay piece. It is a wearable display system built into a game inspired jacket. It is not practical for normal gaming, but that is not the point. The appeal is that the jacket brings one of Cyberpunk 2077’s fashion tech ideas into the real world with working hardware.

The NUSA Infiltrator jacket shows how advanced cosplay has become. It combines sewing, 3D printing, electronics, Linux hardware, custom display work, and game inspired design. It also shows why Cyberpunk 2077 continues to inspire makers years after release. The game’s style is built around technology becoming part of the body and clothing, and this project turns that idea into something you can actually wear.
