Crimson Desert Patch 1.12 Adds Outdoor House Decorations And More Support For Damiane And Oongka

Crimson Desert patch 1.12 is now live on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, adding new outdoor decoration options, faster loading, and more improvements for playable side characters Damiane and Oongka. The update does not add a major new story chapter, but it continues Pearl Abyss’s steady weekly support for the open world action RPG.

The patch expands the housing system by letting players decorate the area outside their house. It also adds new crafting tools, new furniture and decoration items, and more ways to personalize a player’s home space. At the same time, Damiane and Oongka have received changes that make them more useful in exploration, including the ability to ride the dragon Blackstar.

These changes arrive as Pearl Abyss continues working on broader story improvements and future DLC content for Crimson Desert.

Patch 1.12 expands house decoration outside the home

The biggest feature in patch 1.12 is outdoor house decoration. Players can now place items around the outside area of their house, giving them more control over how their personal space looks.

The update adds 58 new housing items, including fountains, wells, lights, carpets, hanging planters, automata toys, pet furniture, and a music box. It also adds two crafting tools, the Workstation and the Loom.

Players will need crafting manuals before making these new items. These manuals can be found through shops, claw machines, the box of fortune, and the orb roll.

Damiane and Oongka become more useful in exploration

Patch 1.12 also improves Damiane and Oongka, continuing Pearl Abyss’s recent effort to make side characters feel more complete.

Both characters can now equip Visiones and read memories. They can also ride Blackstar, the dragon. These additions help bring Damiane and Oongka closer to Kliff in terms of exploration usefulness.

That matters because Crimson Desert’s world is built around movement, discovery, and traversal. When playable characters lack key exploration tools, they can feel less practical to use outside specific moments. This update helps reduce that gap.

Kliff also receives new equipment

Kliff has not been left out of the update. The Greymanes leader now gets five new headgear items and one new armor set.

Damiane also receives a new pair of gloves, while Kliff, Damiane, and Oongka all get access to the new Greymane Signet accessory.

These are smaller additions, but they help make the playable cast feel more supported as Pearl Abyss continues updating the game. The studio has already hinted that Damiane and Oongka could receive more attention in future story content, so these gameplay improvements may be part of a longer plan.

Loading times have been reduced

Patch 1.12 also includes a long list of fixes and quality of life improvements. One of the most useful changes is a reduction in loading time at the start of the game.

Crimson Desert is a large open world game, so faster startup loading can make a noticeable difference for regular players. The update also improves the character loading screen so it appears properly when loading as Oongka or Damiane.

These are not flashy changes, but they help smooth out the daily experience.

Pearl Abyss is responding to community requests

The patch shows Pearl Abyss continuing to respond to player feedback after launch. Housing customization, character usability, faster loading, and quality of life updates are all areas that players tend to notice during long term play.

Crimson Desert has reportedly drawn more than 6 million players since its March launch, giving Pearl Abyss a large audience to support. Weekly updates help keep that audience engaged while the studio prepares larger content additions.

The new outdoor decoration system also gives players more reason to interact with the home space rather than treating it as a minor side feature.

Patch 1.12 is small but useful

Crimson Desert patch 1.12 is not a major expansion, but it adds several practical improvements. Outdoor decoration gives players more customization, new items make the housing system deeper, and Damiane and Oongka are more viable for exploration.

The update also improves loading and continues polishing the game’s systems across PC and consoles.

For players already spending time in Pywel, patch 1.12 is another steady step forward. It shows Pearl Abyss is still refining the game while preparing bigger story updates and future DLC content.
