Crimson Desert players can now continue the same adventure across Xbox, PlayStation and PC following the release of update 1.14.00.
The new cross-save system allows one save file to be used across Xbox, PlayStation 5, Steam and the Epic Games Store. This means you can move between supported platforms without starting the game again or maintaining separate progress on each device.
Xbox players already had some cross-device flexibility through Xbox Play Anywhere, which supports shared progress between compatible Xbox and Windows PC versions. The new system expands that access beyond Microsoft’s ecosystem and provides a native solution covering several stores and consoles.
Update 1.14.00 is available now on Xbox, PlayStation, Steam and the Epic Games Store. The Steam version for Mac has also received the update, while the Mac App Store release is planned for a later date.

Cross-save lets one file move between supported platforms
The cross-save feature is the main addition in update 1.14.00.
Once the required account setup is complete, players can use the same progress across participating platforms. This should be useful for anyone who owns Crimson Desert on more than one system or plans to change platforms without losing progress.
The feature covers Xbox, PlayStation, Steam and the Epic Games Store. Pearl Abyss has provided a dedicated cross-save page explaining the setup process, although players should carefully confirm which account must be linked before uploading or replacing existing data.

Cross-save systems can create conflicts when several platforms already contain separate save files. Players should check which file is being treated as the primary version before synchronising progress.
The update does not indicate that purchasing one copy gives access to every platform. Cross-save normally transfers progress only, so separate game licences may still be required for Xbox, PlayStation and different PC stores.
Several quest and character issues have been fixed
The patch also resolves a problem affecting the quest called A Dwarf’s Concern.
Some players were previously unable to complete the mission. Update 1.14.00 should remove that progression blocker and allow the affected objective to finish normally.
Another unusual issue occurred when a pet jumped onto a bed while the player was interacting with it. This could leave the main character unable to move or respond to controls. The patch corrects that behaviour.
These fixes may appear small compared with cross-save support, but progression and control problems can interrupt long play sessions. Removing them should provide a more reliable experience for players exploring Pywel.
Combat controls receive minor adjustments
Damiane’s Skystep ability now uses the same control input as Oongka’s Vertical Flight.
Using consistent inputs for comparable abilities should make it easier to switch between characters without relearning similar actions. It may also reduce accidental inputs during movement or combat.
Pearl Abyss has also fixed an issue that caused Aerial Force Palm to be interrupted while the character was falling freely.
The update does not introduce a broad combat rebalance or major changes to damage values. Its action-related improvements are focused on consistency and correcting unintended interruptions.
Sound, animation and NPC behaviour have been improved
Several smaller technical issues are addressed throughout the patch.
Character animations while riding a fast-moving mount could previously appear unnatural in certain situations. The update adjusts that movement to make mounted travel look more consistent.
Sound effects have also received attention. Audio could fail to play after the battle with Praevus the Ancient, while the sound linked to Ator’s Orb could continue after the orb disappeared. Both problems should now be resolved.
NPC navigation has been improved as well. Some characters were unable to walk through wooden gates even when those gates were open. The fix should reduce moments where NPCs become stuck or fail to follow their intended route.
Pearl Abyss has also corrected localisation errors and improved text quality across all supported languages.
Xbox receives the same general patch as other platforms
There are no major Xbox-specific changes in update 1.14.00.
The patch is primarily a platform-wide release focused on cross-save support and general bug fixes. Xbox Series X and Series S players receive the same main improvements as the PlayStation and PC versions.
Crimson Desert has already received several updates addressing performance and image quality since its March 2026 launch. Earlier patches added an enhanced performance mode on Xbox Series X, including support for an upscaled 4K output.
Update 1.14.00 is less focused on graphics, but cross-save is a useful addition for a large role playing game where progress can represent dozens of hours. It gives players more freedom to choose where they continue the campaign while keeping their existing character and save data.
