I always set the power button action to ‘Sleep’ and keep the Start Menu button set to default (‘Shut Down’). That’s the most convenient set-up, as you probably shut down only once in a day, but walk away from your computer several times a day, so the power button action should be ‘Sleep’ for quick and easy power saving.

I used to do this all the time but now… How do you do this in Windows 8+??
