Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Season 4 Reloaded launches on June 25 with new multiplayer maps, a major Zombies chapter, Endgame updates, Warzone changes, and an unexpected Nick Cage operator bundle. The mid-season update adds content across every main mode, while also continuing Treyarch’s effort to bring classic Black Ops elements back into the game.
The update begins at 9 a.m. PT and 12 p.m. ET. It comes at an important point for Black Ops 7, which has received praise for its multiplayer improvements but has also faced criticism over some celebrity crossover bundles.
Nick Cage is the latest celebrity to join the operator roster, following earlier crossover content that some players felt did not fit the Black Ops setting. The new event includes both free rewards and a paid reward track that unlocks two Nick Cage operator skins.
Endgame Adds Operation King Killer and New Skills
Endgame continues with Act IV, called Operation King Killer. Players will head into Zone III and higher areas to find the Central Command Node before facing the Glitch Boss.
The update also brings ten escalating challenges that offer rewards and weapon camos. Endgame will remain free to play until the end of Season 5, giving more players access to the mode before the expected arrival of Modern Warfare 4 later this year.
New skills and equipment focus on stronger team play and enemy control.
| Endgame addition | What it does |
|---|---|
| Guardian skill track | Adds defensive and team support bonuses |
| Payback perk | Ricochets enemy damage |
| Fission Exotic Skill | Triggers an explosion after elite enemy kills |
| Psych grenade | Applies a brain rot style effect |
| Sleeper Agent skill | Can turn basic enemies into temporary allies |
| Operation King Killer | Adds the next Endgame story chapter |
The Guardian skill track is especially useful for players who prefer a tank role. It includes proximity revives, reduced flinch, and stronger armour protection.
Zenith and Launch Join Multiplayer
Season 4 Reloaded brings two multiplayer maps. Zenith is a new medium-sized map designed for 6v6 and 2v2 modes, while Launch returns as a remastered version of the classic map from the original Call of Duty: Black Ops.

Zenith takes place in a high-tech jungle compound. It uses a three-lane structure with flanking paths, a central facility, and a waterway that leads into a lower bunker.
Launch is likely to be the bigger draw for longtime Black Ops fans. The original version was known for its mix of sniper sightlines, tight corridors, elevated positions, and frequent close-range fights around a Russian rocket facility.
Two returning modes are also part of the update. Team Blueprint Sharpshooter rotates player loadouts as kill streaks increase, while Knife Fight brings a melee-only version of Gunfight for 2v2 players.
The Black Ops Classic playlist is becoming a permanent part of the rotation as well. It features older maps and weapons with reduced mobility, limited perk options, and a more traditional Black Ops feel.
Kowakujō Brings Zombies to a Volcanic Stronghold
Zombies receives a new round-based map called Kowakujō. The map takes players to the slopes of a volcano, where they must battle scorched undead, supernatural Oni enemies, and a fiery version of Hellhounds.
The story centres on finding the final Shadowsmith and recovering the World Seed. The main quest begins as soon as Season 4 Reloaded goes live.
A new Wonder Weapon is also coming, although Treyarch has not revealed its full details. Takeo and Carver will play important roles in the Kowakujō storyline.
Warzone Gets Summer Changes and New Modes
Warzone’s Rebirth Island is losing its winter appearance and returning to a greener summer look. The points of interest added earlier in the season will remain, but the snow-covered environment is being removed.
New playlist options include Squad Gun Game for Resurgence maps and Buy Back Quads for Battle Royale. Champions Quest is also returning for teams ready to complete consecutive victories under specific requirements.
Nick Cage Leads the Summer of Action Event
The Summer of Action event adds Nick Cage as a premium operator. Free rewards include two operator skins, the Executioner’s Duet melee weapon, the AN-94 assault rifle, XP tokens, cosmetics, and a weapon charm.
The premium reward track includes the Nick Cage operator, an alternate Nick Cage skin, weapon blueprints, a finishing move, a themed HUD, and more cosmetic items.
The crossover will likely divide the community. Treyarch has promised to listen more closely to players who want Black Ops content to feel closer to the franchise’s tone, but the addition of more celebrity operators shows the studio is still committed to high-profile paid bundles.
A free trial for Black Ops 7 multiplayer and Zombies is also planned later in the Season 4 Reloaded window.
