AOC is expanding its high end gaming monitor lineup with the AGON PRO AGP277QKDC, a 26.5 inch OLED display that can run at up to 720Hz in HD mode. The new monitor will arrive in September 2026 for 699 euros, making it one of the more affordable options in the growing ultra high refresh rate OLED market.
The AGON PRO AGP277QKDC uses a next generation Tandem WOLED panel, a newer OLED design intended to improve brightness and long term panel durability. It offers two display modes, allowing you to choose between 2560 x 1440 resolution at 540Hz or HD resolution at 720Hz.
The QHD mode will likely be the better choice for most games because it offers sharper image quality while still delivering an extremely high refresh rate. The 720Hz mode is built mainly for competitive players who focus on fast esports titles and have a PC powerful enough to push extremely high frame rates.
Dual Frame Mode Gives Players Two Different Performance Options
AOC calls the feature Dual Frame Mode. It allows the display to switch between a higher resolution experience and a lower resolution mode designed for maximum speed.
At 1440p and 540Hz, the monitor should suit competitive shooters, racing games, battle royale games, and general PC gaming. At HD and 720Hz, the focus shifts toward esports titles where fast response times and frame rate consistency matter more than visual detail.
Running games at 720 frames per second will require very powerful hardware and game settings that favor performance. Many modern AAA games will not reach that level, even with high end graphics cards. Older esports games such as Counter Strike, Valorant, Overwatch, and Rocket League are more realistic candidates for the monitor’s highest refresh rate mode.

AOC Includes Modern Ports and Desktop Focused Features
The monitor includes DisplayPort 2.1 UHBR20 and HDMI 2.1, giving it enough bandwidth for high resolution and high refresh rate gaming. It also has USB C with DisplayPort Alt Mode and 65W power delivery, which could be useful for charging a compatible laptop while using the monitor as an external display.

A built in KVM switch is another useful feature. It allows you to connect two PCs and use one keyboard and mouse across both systems. That may help people who use one desktop for gaming and another computer for work.
AOC has also focused on the physical design. The AGON 7 series introduces a symmetrical stand, slim bezels, cable management, and an integrated pop out headset holder. These details will not affect image quality, but they can make a busy gaming desk easier to manage.
The 699 euro price is important because OLED gaming monitors with very high refresh rates have usually carried premium pricing. AOC is positioning the AGON PRO AGP277QKDC as a competitive display for serious players who want OLED image quality and unusually fast refresh rates without moving into the most expensive part of the market.
