AOC has launched its first native 1000 Hz Full HD gaming monitor, bringing another ultra high refresh rate option to competitive players shortly after LG introduced its own 1080p 1000 Hz display. The new model, called AGON PRO AGP257FT, uses a BOE native Full HD 1000 Hz panel and is aimed at esports players who want the fastest possible display response for racing games and first person shooters.
The monitor was shown at a launch event through a collaboration between AGON by AOC and BOE. AOC had already announced plans for a 1080p 1000 Hz monitor before LG brought its own version to market, and now the company has followed through with a retail ready product.
The most important detail is that AOC says the AGP257FT reaches 1000 Hz natively at Full HD resolution. That matters because many earlier monitor designs could hit 1000 Hz or higher only at lower resolutions such as 720p. A native 1080p 1000 Hz panel gives competitive players a sharper image while still pushing refresh rates far beyond common 240 Hz, 360 Hz, and 500 Hz displays.
The AGON PRO AGP257FT is built for esports players who care most about speed and motion clarity
AOC is positioning the AGP257FT for fast competitive games such as Counter Strike 2, Valorant, Call of Duty, and racing titles. These games benefit most from very high refresh rates because each frame can help reduce perceived delay and improve motion tracking, provided the PC can actually push enough frames to match the display.
The monitor also uses BLMB black frame insertion technology. This method inserts black frames between normal frames to improve motion clarity and reduce blur. AOC has listed a 0.2 ms gray to gray response time, which is much faster than what is usually seen on standard IPS gaming monitors.
The company has not confirmed the exact panel type, but the report suggests it is likely an IPS type panel, similar to LG’s competing monitor. AOC has also listed 99 percent sRGB color coverage, ADS PRO wide viewing angle color technology, and VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification.
| Feature | AOC AGON PRO AGP257FT |
|---|---|

| Motion clarity feature | BLMB black frame insertion |
| Color coverage | 99 percent sRGB |
| HDR support | VESA DisplayHDR 400 |
| Target audience | Competitive gamers and esports players |
AOC is also promoting an eye care feature called AiTong circular polarized technology. The company says it uses a hardware circular polarizer to simulate more natural light diffusion and reduce stimulation caused by directional polarized light. Combined with low blue light and flicker free features, the monitor is designed to reduce visual fatigue during long gaming sessions.

Some details are still missing. AOC has not yet shared full connectivity information, final regional pricing, or all technical specifications. Those details will matter because a 1000 Hz monitor needs strong input support and will likely appeal to a narrow group of high end competitive players.
Still, the AGON PRO AGP257FT shows where esports monitors are heading. For most players, 1000 Hz will be more than they need. For professional and serious competitive gamers, it could become the next step in chasing lower latency and clearer motion.
