The chip has been added to CPUID’s database through CPU Z version 2.20.1, which means the software should be ready to identify and report the processor correctly when it reaches reviewers, system builders, or buyers.
The listing gives more weight to earlier reports that AMD is still expanding its Zen 4 lineup even as the market looks ahead to Zen 6. AMD has already released several X3D chips in the Ryzen 7000 family, including the Ryzen 7 7800X3D, Ryzen 9 7900X3D, Ryzen 9 7950X3D, Ryzen 5 7600X3D, and Ryzen 5 7500X3D. The Ryzen 7 7700X3D would fit below the popular 7800X3D as a cheaper eight core option with 3D V Cache.
