Dell has started selling the Alienware AW3426DW in Europe, with the new 34 inch ultrawide QD OLED gaming monitor priced at €809 in Germany and £709 in the UK. The launch gives buyers their first confirmed retail pricing for the display after it was announced at Computex 2026.
The Alienware AW3426DW is aimed at PC players who want a large ultrawide OLED monitor with a very high refresh rate. It uses a 34 inch curved panel with a 3440 x 1440 resolution, a 21:9 aspect ratio, and a maximum refresh rate of 280Hz.
That combination makes it suitable for competitive games, racing titles, shooters, and cinematic single player games. The ultrawide format provides more horizontal screen space than a standard 16:9 monitor, while the OLED panel should offer deep blacks, fast pixel response, and strong contrast.
North American pricing has not been confirmed yet, although availability in the United States and Canada is expected later.
Alienware AW3426DW Uses a New Penta Tandem QD OLED Panel
The monitor uses Penta Tandem QD OLED technology, a newer panel design that combines multiple OLED layers to improve brightness and overall durability. Dell also says the screen uses RGB stripe subpixels, which should help improve text clarity compared with some earlier OLED gaming monitors.
Text readability has been one of the main concerns for OLED desktop monitors, especially for people who use them for work, browsing, spreadsheets, or writing. The RGB stripe layout may make the AW3426DW more practical for mixed gaming and productivity use.

High Refresh Rate and Adaptive Sync Support Target PC Gamers
The 280Hz refresh rate is one of the monitor’s biggest selling points. It gives players a smoother image during fast movement, provided their PC can reach high frame rates at the monitor’s native 3440 x 1440 resolution.

The AW3426DW also supports AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, NVIDIA G Sync Compatible, and VESA AdaptiveSync. These technologies help match the display refresh rate to the frame rate produced by your graphics card, reducing screen tearing and making gameplay appear smoother.
A 0.03ms response time should also help reduce motion blur and ghosting. OLED panels are known for quick pixel transitions, which can be particularly useful in fast multiplayer games.
Connectivity Includes HDMI 2.1 and USB Ports
Dell has included two HDMI 2.1 FRL ports and one DisplayPort 1.4 connection. The monitor also includes a USB Type B upstream port, USB Type A downstream port, and a USB C downstream port with up to 15W charging.

The Alienware AW3426DW enters a competitive OLED monitor market, but its 280Hz refresh rate, ultrawide format, and QD OLED panel make it one of the more notable options for PC players who want both speed and image quality.
