Thank you for this extended review. I’m planning to buy this robot, as I’m getting older and cleaning is getting harder and I like to have a clean apartment. I’m also on the budget, so this price is acceptable, as I didn’t want to spend too much money, but also didn’t want to lose some useful specs (like laser etc.).
Great write up. Just got this robot vacuum for 104 Euro equivalent with 1 year manufacturer warranty. This costs even less than my previous Xiaomi mijia 1C without LiDar.
We have an older model – probably one of the first – Xiaomi ones out and the battery life has been depleted quite a bit after 2 years of service. Getting it changed is quite expensive here in South Africa and not supplied directly by Xiaomi (weird huh?).
Anyway, we retired Emily (her name) to the upper portion of the house as it is smaller and more manageable and bought a new Xiaomi E10 which we named Josie. Funnily enough, the software on the E10 is/was sadly lacking and after 2 months of putting things in the way of the patio door, Josie slipped out 2 weeks ago and chucked herself over the edge of our patio and drowned in our pool. After drying her out and doing an extensive clean, she has been officially pronounced dead and only good for spare parts…
We are now looking at buying the S10 which has better software aspects to it and appears to be way better after reading your review so thanks for the extensive research, it is much appreciated!
I love your review! I have been looking for a robot vacuum and I do want to integrate my whole place into Xiaomi system. Thank you so much for you review it has been quite useful and I do intent to buy it!
