I’ve been intrigued with the Live Tiles since the Windows phone. Can data be pushed from a database to a live tile? I think upper and middle management could use it as a easy way to see or track data without taking up desktop space. Are there documents on how to do those types of things?

How do you change the size of the image within the desktop tile? Mine changed to a very small image.

I like to keep my desktop fairly clean so I move most desktop icons to the start menu as a shortcut type tile. And of course I use groups to organize those shortcuts to make them easier to find.

I do the same thing. A crowded desktop is a no-no, especially on devices with a small screen.

Is it possible to change the properties of a tile, i.e. change the url a tile points to BEFORE you hit the enter button in ie?

I love the new tiles system of windows 8 however I hate that I can not use my personal emails and applications I am familiar with, It seems I have to completely switch all of my current systems to sync with hotmail and run them all off from live ID! I want my music players, my email, my crap accessible without changing everything I use over.

I really love these Live Tiles. In fact, the whole start up menu. It feels awesome.
