A++ for coherent compare-contrast of VPN vs proxy in both your written explanation and excellent visuals. Your diagrams turned the mud in my mind from reading other online explanations into clear water! Thank u!

Thanks a lot for sharing the great content. and you beautifully explained the pros and cons of Proxy servers and VPN, No doubt the VPN is much safer than the Proxy, but totally agree with your conclusion, that it depends upon your usage. Here I would like to mention that I used the tool you mentioned for checking the IP address location, but when I googled for more tools, I came across a handy tool, https://dnschecker.org/ip-location.php, that provides me the data of IP from several geolocation databases. and much more…

Thanks for the clarity and pic’s. Mozilla is offering a limited beta VPN service for $5/mo. without explaining what, why or when a VPN is good or bad. You’ve cleared up a lot. I’m not sure Moz’s 12 hours/mo. is good or bad, but once one learns how and when to use a VPN it may be worth it. Sadly, Mozilla doesn’t feel it necessary to explain what you do here — they want the world to take them on faith. They may mean well, but I’m not there yet!

    Very awesome article,
I think VPN is much better and safe then proxy, and i also prefer VPN. Recently i read similar article on Reviewsdir but it was about Proxy vs. VPN vs. TOR.
