I use it for documents and files mainly. I never use it for email because I can’t get to my Gmail. I also can’t get my computer to open on Google/Chrome, my homepage, which is aggravating because it opens only on Bing or Microsoft and then says it’s an error. I happen to prefer Google, & Gmail, not Bing. Any suggestion?
If you add your Gmail account in the Mail app, then search will find your emails from Gmail too. Also, we will publish soon a tutorial, on how to make Windows 10 search using Google instead of Bing. Stay tuned.

My Cortana has been broken for 6 months or so and cannot get it fixed. Is it not used as a search in Windows 10 anymore? Your articles are good and can be very helpful.

Nope. Not after the May 2019 Update. They are separate entities. Therefore, if Cortana doesn’t work, Search works independently.

I need to search my Windows 10 computer, not the internet, for all MS Word documents last modified between May 2020 and November 2020 that contain the phrase “load balancer”. Is this possible?

None of this makes sense. Search Windows? What does that mean? I’ve tried all the hints and shortcuts and they don’t work on my system.

Are you using Windows 10? Or another Windows version?
