I totally agree with the content of your review! And I’m considering myself very lucky, for reasons as follows:
a) I DO have problems with my back, and not so minor ones… Within the last four years, I had THREE MRIs, all ending with the same conclusion:
A) All kind of problems within the lower back vertebrae (but nothing to really write home about…)
B) Moderate to severe spinal stenosis within the same area… This IS something to write home about… However, in Canada (I live in Toronto…) they are very reluctant to perform spinal surgery, due to the relatively high risk of this type of surgery). However, lately I’m in such state of constant discomfort, that I would take the risk…
I’m also spending a high number of hours every day on my computer, since I’m a freelancer, doing all kind of things. As such, the need for a good chair was/is a high priority item for me.
So luckily for me, a couple of months ago, while being in a Staples store for various items I needed, I’ve noticed the GXT chair, due to its ‘flamboyant’ colors (black/red). It turned out that additionally to its aesthetical appearance and the support for lower back and neck, it was also:
1. In sale
2. Offered fully assembled, with no extra charge
3. Delivered to my address, with no extra charge.
I rest my case here…

I’m happy that you are satisfied with your purchase. I also had health issues, and such chairs are incredibly useful to me.

Reem

You sure can rotate the armrests.

You are right, they do. Unfortunately on my chair you need quite a bit if strength for that. Thank you for your comment: I adjusted the review.

This is a proper, in-depth review – it was really helpful and you’ve helped me make my choice among the one trillion options available. 🙂

Retro

I would not recommend this chair. Chair sure looks good on the outside but unzipping the backrest reveals laughably bad build quality. Chair consists of chopped rusty pipes that have been poorly welded together. So poorly that ends of those pipes may rub together causing screeching noises when pushing against the backrest. My new chair also had broken weld. I have also seen many reports of seat not tilting and mine was the same. This chair surely isn’t worth 200 bucks, 100 at most. I don’t understand these praising reviews and I feel cheated.

We still use this chair and it works just as well as on day one. We did not encounter the issues that you are sharing. 🙁

Fantastic chair

The chair in this review is actually V1. Not V2. The manufacturer has said that Resto V1 had that red logo but newer V2 models have grey logo.

We bought this chair for ourselves. We looked on the purchase papers from 2019, and it is V2, not V1. Unless the store cheated on us, we reviewed the V2 version of this chair.
