How to add another Google Account on a Samsung Galaxy phone Luckily, apps look the same on all devices, so when it comes to adding or switching accounts inside your apps, there are no differences between Samsung and other Android smartphones. Any additional account you set up works exactly as your main one, becoming available in most apps from Google’s ecosystem, including apps you get from the Google Play Store. It’s actually easier to start adding a second account from one of Google’s apps, like Gmail. How to add another Gmail account from the Gmail app You can also add a second Google Account directly from the Gmail app, which is often faster than going through Settings. How to switch Google Accounts in Android apps After adding multiple accounts, Android allows you to switch between them in almost every Google app. Like this: Open a Google app, such as Gmail, Drive, or Google Calendar. In the upper-right corner, tap your profile icon. This icon is either your picture or the first letter of your account name. Tap your avatar or initial A list of your available Google Accounts appears in a drop-down or pop-up. Tap the account you want to switch to. Select one of the available Google Accounts The app automatically reloads using the selected account, showing the emails, files, or events associated with it. NOTE: In apps like Google Photos, you may need to tap your account name next to a small arrow to open the account switcher. In others, like YouTube, you may need to tap a button called exactly that: Switch account. Either way, once the list of accounts appears, choose the Google Account you want to use. Switch the Google Account in Google Photos IMPORTANT: Most Google apps remember your selection and default to the last-used account when you reopen them. However, some games and apps from the Google Play Store require you to choose a Google Account when you first access them, while others use the main account by default. That all depends on their design. Also, certain apps, especially games and apps tied to Google Play purchases, might only work with the Google Account used when they were first installed. In those cases, switching accounts may require reinstalling the app or resetting app data. How to view all inboxes at once in Gmail If you’re managing multiple Gmail accounts, you can view all your emails together using Gmail’s All inboxes feature. This is how: Open the Gmail app and tap the hamburger button (three horizontal lines) in the upper-left corner of the screen. Tap the hamburger button At the top of the menu, tap All inboxes. Select All inboxes in Gmail This view shows emails from all Google Accounts at once, making it easier to keep track of everything in one place. However, keep in mind that Gmail doesn’t remember this setting permanently. You’ll need to reselect All inboxes each time you open the app. Do you use multiple Google Accounts on your Android devices?
