Sometimes when I select text if I go too far it selects the OPPOSITE of what I had highlighted.
WHY?
and how can I turn it off?
This has bothered me for YEARS.
My “selecting text” function isn’t working properly. I can select an entire line, delete it, move it etc, but the mouse won’t let me take out or move, say, a word or part of a line in the normal way. It’s just stopped doing this. I’ve looked everywhere for a solution without success. Even my computer teacher is stumped. Can you assist?

Thank you sooooo much!
As a forever PC user who has recently bought a Mac Air, I have been going insane.
Your article has brought me back to the land of the living.
P.S. for anyone who needs cognitive training switch to MAC
Recently I messed up a lot of settings, and now I am unable to select a line of type by clicking three times. Do you know how I can fix that?
Thank you,
Jann
