Very slow jpeg image rendering. Irfanview does most of the same things and renders most pictures very quickly and has additional editing capability. (Sadly departed) Picassa is fast and good for photo organization.

Thanks for sharing your experience.

I carefully create albums of families and events. It is important to me to be able to put the various albums on a flash drive. I have not been able to find a way to do this. Please tell me that there is a way.

I have made adjustments to my picture in the “edit and create” page, I want to print quickly, where is the print button? Do I have to save my changes first? I seem to lose the changes when I go back to the main “photos” page. This seems unneccessarily obstructive

Hate it…………….does nothing for me and is useless for what I need photos for.
Can’t wait to get rid of Windows.

The one thing you can’t do with Microsoft Photos is the one thing most people want to do with their photos: you can’t use it to crop a photo. There is an editing tool called “Crop” but all it does is resize the photo.

That’s not true. The Crop tool works. We use it on a regular basis.

It is terribly frustrating to me to read this as the pictures go to photos, but not into the picture program. When I want to use them for another program, for example Shutterfly, I can not get to them. How do you move them from photos to pictures.

SP

It has many features that are nice, but is frustrating when I can’t get them into pictures and get no answer on how to do so, I’d rather not have it then the headache of trying to get them where they are useful for mu purpose.

I want to use the Person tags in Microsoft file explorer. Can you use the person tags in other apps like Adobe?

Biggest mistake ever in my mind is not having Photo Gallery Editor. Photo in windows 10 is a down grade from Photo Gallery. Bring it back.

Ciprian Adrian Rusen

I’m afraid it will never be brought back. Microsoft is no longer interested in this product. We loved it too, as you do.

I just want to move a photo from one album to another. No option for that. Have to remove photo from one album and go back to collection to add to another album. Dumb.

Every Windows photo app gets more useless. In Windows XP I could arrange photos in a logical flow of time or category. With Windows 7 I could at least easily organize photo by category. Windows 10 I just don’t like. Do not want a photo video album because you will not let me organize in a loogical viewing format. I noticed someone else said you can’t download to a flash drive. Have not tried yet but must have that option to decrease number of photos on laptop. With desk top I could easily download photos to a dvd or flash drive. I do not find windows photos customer friendly. Tech decides how it should be used, Needs to be simple like a hand made photo album which you can arrange according to your preferences.
