Dear Sir/Madam

Sorry my bad English,I am Brazilian.
I have the Avast software to protect my PC. But I am really upset. Unfortunately a virus/malware/adware got installed in my PC, and a unwanted Yahoo tool bar pops up as a bar when I call for a Google search, and some unwanted websites are opened sometimes, withorut any command of mine.
The BIG problem is that I cannot remove that!
I’ve tried 5 alternatives by searching the web and none worked.
The first one was a Microsoft provided scan: I’ve performed the download and executed the scan (more than 10 hours), but NO vírus/malware was detected. I suppose that a MS scan MUST BE more effective and efficient than a third party product. But it failed.
I kept on trying other alternatives. NO ONE achieved to identify nor remove the miserable vírus/malware.
The last one I’ve tried is related to remove some add-ons by using a recommendation about certain add-on and then I’ve followed Microsoft instructions I’ve got from
https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge/platform/documentation/extensions/guides/debugging-extensions/
and start following the instructions.
BUT…
a) As there are MANY instructions – 15 steps! incredible! absurd! even for a specialized technician – I tried to print them in a PDF file but it as impossible, the only result I’ve got for three times was a blank file with 2 pages.
b) Then I opened up a second window with MS Edge to alternate it with the instruction tab in the other window and be able to perform any step without being forced to know all of them by heart
c) STEP 1 = Click on More (…) = OK!
d) STEP 2 = Click on the extention you want to debug/delete = There is no extension at all available! Not even just one extention! Mainly the one I had to work with, located at
( C:|userextentionsmy_extention )
There is NEITHER a “extentions” nor a “my_Extention” folder!
I could perform ONLY 1 STEP FROM THE 15 indicated, and the second one failed!
Since my PC’s invasion, Microsoft forced me to update the system at least 2 times, without warning, and I couldn’t rely on my system for more than 20 minutes, when in fact I needed a quick response to do my job. I could not chose if it was an adequate moment to update the system.
WORST! Although updated, the system kept on failing because the vírus/malware is still active.
PLEASE let me know how can I delete the vírus/malware.
I need to work, I need virus-free PC. It must have a way to keep my PC safe.
It is unthinkable to spend US$ 50 / 80 each time a little problem like this occur, to buy a fix service from a technician, that, in fact will install another copy of the operating system.
It is fundamental that Microsoft DO NOT PERMIT this kind of invasion. How about a Microsoft operating system running in a car control software and something like that happens?
How can any person rely on Microsoft software to run something that controls his/her asset?
WHY you do not create a work team to develop a system invasion-proof? IT IS POSSIBLE to achieve a product like this.
I’ve worked all my life with IBM mainframes, I used to be a Computing Science professor at university, and I know that IT IS POSSIBLE to develop a reliable and safe software.
How can we trust when using a Microsoft software or hardware to control some IoT device? I would not want my refrigerator order vodka when my beer is over, just because the vodca supplier got the install a virus in the refrigerator CPU.
If you do nothing, your competitors will do! The more you leave things as they are now, the closer is the competitor solution.
PLEASE! I’m in a hurry!
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Thanks for your attention

Hi,
Did you try installing and running a good antimalware solution?
Like Kaspersky or Bitdefender?
Install a trial version of any of these two, and run a full computer scan.
They are both better security products than what Microsoft (or Avast) offer.
