I feel as though in the section on what to do with an unallocated partition, it should be mentioned that it’s also possible to extend an existing volume using the unused partition. It’s basically just joining the 2 back together if you separated the 2 in the first place for the extra partition

When using Diskpart command prompt and I tried deleting a partition, I got a message that read “cannot delete a protected partition without force protected parameter set”. Don’t know exactly what that meant, but it wasn’t covered in this article.

If your partition is not accessible by volume they use diskpart, list disks, select the disk you want to fix, then use the diskpart command Clean. It will remove any old objects. I ran into an issue when I formatted a drive on my ASUS router USB port, when I moved the drive back to my computer I could not do anything with it, diskpart clean fixed it.
