The problem with all of these is that they require me to look at a long list of applications that may or may not be causing me problems. If I can’t get it in a graphical interface like Task Manager, I don’t really want it. —

    Thank you!

Process Explorer in combo with other sys-int programs is still king as it’s the only one you can ever be somewhat secure in knowing it originally was a non-corrupt extension of the main system Malware identified as Windows.

Thanks, I wonder why so many different ones exist

Sysinternals was NOT developed by MS!

Sysinternals was a independent shop until they sold out to MS.

AnVir Task Manager Free looked like the way to go, also because of a possitive comment.
But this one also gives a (false) positive in my Bitdefender.
Now chatting with tech support about this, answer soon…hold on for a moment…
Had to send the link to Support, answer within 72 hours, if it’s not false I will get back here, otherwise it’s OK…

Sorry, just read this back, it should say, if IT IS false I will get back here, waiting for BD to answer…

      • Leo Graper says:

Still no word from BitDefender so I gave it another go, and, nothing detected, wonder why this is BD, weird…so it’s safe and good to go!

Unfortunately it will forever have the same rap as CCleaner after it’s DL was hacked and infected. Opened up malware storms on networks. They’d be better off killing it and re-envisioning it as a totally new product.
