I am glad Windows7Themes isn’t in the list.. It has loads of third party scripts on their site and requires you open up security to get their themes… Don’t go there it could be dangerous..

7Tutorials is NOT a good place to get themes. All the download links in the “Uncovering Artists Through Windows Themes” series are dead.
For all the themes we have, in the Downloads section you will see the following text:
“You can also download the theme using your web browser. However, the download speed might be much slower than via the torrent service we generally use.”
After that is the direct download link from our website. That should always work.

Be careful with TechNorms. It wanted to load 4 pieces of unwanted software, including toolbars. Three of these show up as check box items during install and are easy enough to uncheck. However, the 4th was caught by Win Patrol while it was trying to install and change the start menuuntied laces programs in the background. The car themes are nice, but not with all the baggage.
We apologize for the inconvenience you had to face while downloading the Windows themes from TechNorms. We actually had a bad experience with the advertising network we were working with. We currently are working on replacing the network with a more reliable one, which won’t cause any issues for our readers.
These themes use up a huge amount of bandwidth and advertising is the only way we can cope up with the hosting bills. So I hope you understand our need to place the ads. Thanks for your valuable feedback and we’d try to sort this ASAP.

Suprised themeraider.com isn’t in here. Maybe coz the site is new? It’s easily the best site for themes imo. The site itself is clean and easy to use. No distracting spammy bait links, weird installers, virus and all that. Just one click downloads to get the themepacks. The quality of themes is the closest thing to official Microsoft themes. Quality over quantity.
There are some good sites listed here, but my favorite is Thematic Market. They have free “signature” themes which not only include wallpaper, but new sounds, icons, cursors and enhanced wallpaper which is really awesome.
